Various embodiments include a method for producing a structure with a cold gas spraying method comprising: providing a carrier with a carrier surface, to which the structure is to be attached by the cold gas spraying method by following a travel path; and providing an element with an element surface different from the carrier surface. The element is arranged in the travel path and/or the travel path is specified such that intersections of the travel path and/or interruptions of the structure are arranged on the element surface.

Production of a structure using a cold spraying method

The invention relates to a cooling device for a spraying nozzle, in particular for cold gas spraying, and to a spraying nozzle assembly equipped with such a cooling device. The spraying nozzle is surrounded by an enclosure forming the cooling device, wherein it is provided according to the invention that a cooling line within the enclosure forms a closed system which can be supplied with a cooling medium by way of an inlet and an outlet. The cooling medium therefore advantageously does not come into contact with the spraying nozzle, which is inserted into a receiving opening in the enclosure by means of a loose fit. The closure may also advantageously taper conically towards the mouth of the spraying nozzle, and therefore coatings can also be applied to difficultly accessible components by means of the spraying nozzle assembly according to the invention.

Cooling device for a spraying nozzle or spraying nozzle assembly with a cooling device for thermal spraying

The surface of a component includes metallic fractions of Ag and/or Ni, touching MnOfractions which provide an antimicrobial effect. When using toxicologically safe Ni, these antimicrobial surfaces can be used in the food industry, for example. The surface can, for example, be applied by way of a coating on the component with the metallic fraction and the MnOfraction applied in two layers.

A component includes a catalyst surface having regions of CeO2 and regions of MnO2 that contact the regions of CeO2. Said material pairings may provide an improved catalytic effect compared to pure oxides. Said surfaces can, for example, also be used in indoor air purification to reduce the ozone content. The surface can, for example, be applied by coating the component and processed by cold-gas spraying of, for example, particles made of MnO2, to which CeO2 is applied.

Component having a catalytic surface, method for producing same and use of said component

A component has a catalyst surface including metal regions and regions of MnO2 contacting the former, wherein the metal regions are made of Co and/or Sn and/or Zn (or alloys of said metals). Said material pairings achieve a significantly improved catalytic effect in comparison to the pure metals. Said surfaces can be used, for example, in room air purification for reducing ozone content. The surface can be applied, for example, by coating the component, wherein the metal region and the region of MnO2 are applied in two layers.

Component having a catalytic surface, method for producing same, and use of said component

A component part has a catalyst surface. This surface has metallic components and components of MnO() in contact with the former. The metallic components are preferably formed of Ag and/or Ni. These material pairs achieve a great improvement in catalyst action compared to the pure metals. Especially in the case of use of Ni, which is toxicologically safe, these surfaces, for example, may also find use in ambient air purification for reduction of the ozone content. The surface can be applied, for example, by a coating of the component part, in which case the metallic component and the component of MnOare applied in two layers.

The embodiments include a method for producing a coating through cold gas spraying. In the process, particles according to the embodiments are used which contain a photocatalytic material. In order to improve the effect of this photocatalytic material (such as titanium dioxide), a reactive gas can be added to the cold gas stream, the reactive gas being activated by a radiation source not shown, for example by UV light, on the surface of the coating that forms. This makes it possible to, for example, dose titanium dioxide with nitrogen. This allows the production of in situ layers having advantageously high catalytic effectiveness. The use of cold gas spraying has the additional advantage in that the coating can be designed to contain pores that enlarge the surface available for catalysis.

Method for producing a coating through cold gas spraying

In a method for the cold-gas spraying of particles having different solidities and/or ductilities and in a cold-gas spraying device () suitable for use in with the method, in order to obtain a comparatively high proportion of particles () having higher solidity and/or smaller ductility in comparison to the other particles (), these particles are fed into an area () of the stagnation chamber () of the cold-gas spraying device which is very distant from the nozzle (). Advantageously, the particles () have to cover a longer course through the stagnation chamber and are thus preheated. In this way, the deposition of these particles () on a substrate () is improved. Particularly metals having a transition temperature ranging between brittle and ductile behavior can be provided with ductile properties by the preheating process, thereby simplifying the deposition process.

Method and device for the cold-gas spraying of particles having different solidities and/or ductilities

The invention relates to a cold gas spraying method with the aid of which a substrate to be coated can be coated with particles. According to the invention, it is provided that microencapsulated agglomerates of nanoparticles are used as particles. This advantageously allows the advantages that accompany the use of nanoparticles to be used for the coating. The nanoparticles are held together by microencapsulations, wherein the microencapsulated particles formed in this way that are used in the cold gas spraying method have dimensions in the micrometer range, thereby allowing them to be used in the first place in cold gas spraying The microencapsulated nanoparticles may be used for example to produce a UV protective coating on lamp bases for gas discharge lamps.

Cold gas spraying method

The invention relates to a lamp, in particular a motor-vehicle headlight lamp, with a plastic part of which the surface is provided with a coating which contains at least one compound of a metal with oxygen or nitrogen. The coating has the effect of preventing gas emission from the plastic.

Lamp with plastic base having a radiation protective coating

A method for applying a coating () to a part of a surface of a lamp (). The aim is to provide a simple manner of applying exact coatings to parts of surfaces with complicated designs. To this end, the lamp is vacuum-coated. The parts of the surface of the lamp () that are not to be coated are covered by a mask () and at least one coat is applied to the non-covered parts of the surface. The mask () is located at a predetermined distance (d) from the part of the surface of the lamp () and the mask () is oriented in relation to an illumination element () or a base () of the lamp ().
