The present invention relates to a chemical composition comprising (a) a glycoside component A comprising at least one glycoside of the formula R(OG)x wherein R is an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical having 1 to 25 carbon atoms or is a radical of formula R(OR)which does not have more than 25 carbon atoms and wherein n=0 to 24 and Rand Rare aliphatic hydrocarbon radicals; G is the residue of a saccharide moiety selected from the group consisting of fructose, glucose, mannose, galactose, talose, gulose, allose, altrose, idose, arabinose, xylose, lyxose, ribose and alkoxylated derivatives thereof; and x is 1 to 30; (b) an aspartate component B comprising at least one polymerisation product of aspartic acid, optionally in form of a copolymerisate with fatty acids, polybasic carboxylic acids, anhydrides of polybasic carboxylic acids, polybasic hydroxycarboxylic acids, monobasic polyhydroxycarboxylic acids, alkoxylated alcohols, alkoxylated amines, amino sugars, carbohydrates, sugar carboxylic acids and polymers thereof. The invention further relates to the use of such chemical compositions as corrosion inhibitor.

Compositions comprising: (A) at least one surfactant of the general formula (I)(R&#x2014;[(O&#x2014;(CH))(O&#x2014;CH(CH)CH)]O)P(&#x2550;O)(OH)&#x2003;&#x2003;(I)wherein the sequence of the alkyleneoxy units is arbitrary, each Rindependently represents a moiety selected from the group consisting of linear and branched C-C-alkyl, C-C-alkenyl, C-C-alkynyl, (C-C-alkyl)carbonyl, (C-C-alkenyl)carbonyl and (C-C-alkynyl)carbonyl, k represents 1 or 2 and x1 and x2 each independently represent an integer of 0 to 20, the sum of x1 and x2 being a number of 1 to 20; and (B) at least one thickener comprising at least two hydrophobic groups Rwhich are linked to one another via a bridging hydrophilic group (&#x3b1;), wherein each R, independently represents a moiety selected from the group consisting of C-C-alkyl, C-C-alkenyl, C-C-alkynyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, and aryl-C-C-alkyl, which in each case may have up to 3 hydroxyl substituents; wherein the composition has a pH which is viscosity-dependent.
