A pipetting apparatus includes a pipetting head with a plurality of pipetting channels disposed in an arrangement pattern. Each pipetting channel includes a plunger and a cylinder. The plurality of pipetting channels includes at least two groups of pipetting channels with different diameters including a group of larger pipetting channels and a group of smaller pipetting channels. Each of the at least two groups of pipetting channels is disposed in an arrangement pattern in the pipetting head. Larger pipette tips communicate with the group of larger pipetting channels or smaller pipette tips communicate with the group of smaller pipetting channels.

The invention relates to a sealing assembly for a metering device, in particular a multi-channel metering device. The sealing assembly serves to seal pipette tips with respect to the metering device. A multi-channel metering device comprises a multiplicity of openings arranged in one plane. A sealing plate with holes in the grid of the openings abuts this plane. Each pipette tip is provided with an annular collar which has an abutting face and is pressed against the sealing plate by force closure so as to enclose one hole.

Pipetting device

A pipetting device, having a base plate, an elastic sealing plate that covers the outside of the base plate, and a plurality of pipetting channels arranged in a predetermined grid extending through the base plate and the sealing plate. A magazine is loaded in the same grid with the pipette tips, each pipette tip having a shoulder. The magazine is arranged in a magazine holder indirectly frictionally connected via the shoulders and the sealing plate with the base plate, and a drive motor, indirectly connected to the eccentric shafts of two identical eccentric drives that are permanently mounted on the support on the base plate. Each drive has an eccentric pin that is offset by a distance with respect to the axis of the eccentric shaft, and one T-shaped gravitational pendulum is suspended from each of the eccentric pins. The magazine holder is formed by a U-shaped magazine frame with a bearing surface on the inside. The magazine frame, on its lateral legs, is connected to the cross member of each gravitational pendulum so as to be able to lift and lower the magazine frame relative to the base plate.

The invention concerns an automatic pipetting unit with a replaceable pipetting head. The pipetting head includes two head rails located on opposite sides. The pipetting unit also has two horizontal guide channels located in the interior of the pipetting unit for supporting the two head rails. Two frame-mounted, double-sided slider crank mechanisms are vertically arranged in the pipetting unit. Each double-sided slider crank mechanism includes two crank mechanisms each connected to a common articulated thrust joint by a thrust couple. The horizontal guide channels are formed in the articulated thrust joint and the crank mechanisms are connected indirectly to a head cover of the pipetting unit, so that with the opening and closing motion of the head cover the two slider crank mechanisms are moved between two end positions so that the pipetting head can be moved vertically between a lower end working position and an upper end replacement position.

A rinsing tray system for pipette tips or transfer needles, arranged in the form of a matrix and having a bottom tray and a top tray, protrusions which have through-apertures arranged perpendicular to the base of the top tray and at the same grid spacing from one another as the pipette tips or transfer needles, projecting into the interior of the top tray, wherein the bottom tray having at least one inlet in order to be continuously filled with rinsing liquid and at least one outlet being present on the top tray.

Rinsing tray system

A device for filling and suction of filter plates in a microtitration plate format which is comprised of a simultaneously working multipipette, two stacking elements, a plate transfer car with a suction station, four lifting drives, and an electric plate holder. The plates emanating from the dispensing stacking elements are filled by the pipettes or the pipette automatic machine and can be deposited on the suction station afterwards with the aid of the plate holder and the lifter. The plates are then lifted together with the weight such that the plate is sufficiently pressed hard on the seal in the suction station. As a result, a corresponding low pressure can be generated in the vacuum station.

Pipette and handling automatic machine for microtitration plates with permeable bases

A rinsing tray system for cleaning the pipette tips of a multipipetting device is described. The rinsing tray system substantially comprises a first tray and a second tray below the latter, these two trays communicating via openings which are arranged in the same grid dimension as the pipette tips of a multipipetting device. The openings are made in webs so that the rinsing liquid located in the first tray can flow into the second tray only by means of the pipette tips and not directly. The rinsing tray system according to the invention enables a particularly time-saving and space-saving cleaning of the pipette tips of a multipipetting device.
