The invention relates to a shaft drive unit, in particular an electrical drive unit for driving a wheel shaft in vehicles; having an electrical machine comprising a rotor and a stator; having a transmission unit, comprising at least one input connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the rotor of the electrical machine, and at least one output connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the wheel shaft. The electrical machine, the input and the output of the transmission unit and the wheel shaft are arranged coaxially with respect to one another. The electrical machine has at least one associated converter unit and one associated braking resistor unit. The converter unit forms a physical unit with the electrical machine. The braking resistor unit is arranged in the immediate physical vicinity of the electrical machine and around the circumference of the input or output drive shaft of the electrical machine or of the wheel shaft.

The invention relates to a rotor for an electric machine, especially a synchronous machine with transverse flux, especially a synchronous generator, especially a TFM rotor. The invention is characterized by the following features: a support element; a pole structure which is located on a first end face in the area of the outer periphery of the support element and which comprises two rows of magnet arrangements, these magnet arrangements being magnetized alternately in the peripheral direction, and collectors or soft iron elements being located between the magnet arrangements and being separated by an intermediate layer of electrically and magnetically nonconductive material; on the second end face pointing away from the first end face, the support element has at least one partial area which forms a flange surface for applying to a connecting element and in which means are provided for guiding means for creating a rotationally fixed connection or partial elements of means for creating a rotationally fixed connection are located.

Rotor for an electric machine, especially a synchronous machine, and synchronous machine with a transverse flux

The invention relates to a rotor for an electrical machine, specially a transversal flow machine, having at least one pole structure. The pole structure encompasses two adjacent rows of magnet arrangements which are alternatively magnetized in the peripheral direction. The rows are separated by an intermediate layer made of magnetically and electrically non-conductive material (intermediate ring). The magnet arrangements having of inter-lying collector and soft iron elements. The magnet arrangements interlock with adjacent collector or soft iron elements in the peripheral direction. The collector or soft magnet elements are at least partially provided with an insulating layer. The invention is characterized in that at least one of the collector or soft iron elements that is adjacent in the periphery of the magnet arrangement is devoid of a radially external stop providing at least indirect support for the magnet arrangements in radial direction.

Rotor for an electric machine, specially a transversal flow machine

The invention relates to a rotor for an electric machine, specifically a transverse flow machine, comprising at least one support disk and at least one annular pole structure arranged on an end face of the support disk, coaxial to the rotor axis, and extending in axial direction. The pole structure comprises two adjacent rows, separated by an intermediate layer of magnetically and electrically nonconducting material (spacer ring), of the peripheral direction alternately magnetized magnet arrays with interposed collector or soft-iron elements. An end ring is coordinated with each pole structure. A plurality of magnet arrays features an inner and an outer magnet. The design of the collector or soft-iron elements adjoining a magnet array in the peripheral direction is such that they form in radial direction an inner stop and an outer stop for the magnet array. The invention is characterized in that an intermediate element is coordinated with a plurality of magnet arrays. The intermediate element is in a radial direction arranged between the inner and the outer magnet and extends beyond their axial length. The intermediate element is suited for insertion in mating grooves in the rings end ring, spacer ring and central support disk--adjoining the separate rows, of in peripheral direction having alternately magnetized magnet arrays with interposed collector or soft-iron elements.

Rotor for an electric machine, particularly a transverse flow machine

A cooling apparatus is provided for an AC generator, particularly for a transverse-flow generator having a stator with at least one armature winding, as well as a rotor disposed opposite the armature winding. Collector rings are secured to a carrier disk attached to a rotor shaft. The collector rings have a plurality of polarized magnets and magnetizable collector elements in alternating sequence disposed therein. At least one cooling channel through which a coolant can flow is provided in the vicinity of the carrier disk. The cooling channel is separated from the carrier disk only by a channel cover which has a minimal thickness and by the air gap between the rotor and the stator.
