A bead gasket for sealing off a gap between a first component and a second component, the bead gasket including: a first gasket layer including a holding element; a second gasket layer comprising a complementary holding element; and one or more folding portions which connect(s) the first gasket layer and the second gasket layer, wherein the first gasket layer, the second gasket layer and the respective folding portion are formed in one piece, and the gasket layers are or can be folded one onto the other by folding over the respective folding portion, such that they face each other in an axial direction, and wherein the holding element and the complementary holding element are in or can be moved into a holding engagement with each other based on a positive fit and/or frictional fit, in order to secure the gasket layers against diverging from each other.

A pump for applying fluid, the pump including: a pump housing, including: a fluid inlet on a low-pressure side; an fluid outlet on a high-pressure side; a circumferential wall surrounding the pump delivery chamber; and an end-facing wall featuring an outer end-facing surface facing axially away from the delivery chamber and at which the outlet emerges; a delivery member, moveable in the delivery chamber, for delivering the fluid from the low-pressure side to the high-pressure side; a gasket including a gasket loop which surrounds the outlet to seal it off on the outer end-facing surface of the end-facing wall; a female joining element featuring an axially extending hollow space; and a male joining element protruding through or from the pump housing or the gasket. The male joining element is in a joining engagement, which can be subjected to axial tensile stress, with the female joining element in the hollow space.

Pump comprising an attached gasket

A gas pump including a delivery chamber with an inlet and an outlet for a gas. The delivery chamber is at least partially enclosed by a first housing part with a first sealing surface and a second housing part with a second sealing surface. A delivery device is moveable within the delivery chamber for delivering the gas. A pressing device presses one of the housing parts against the other with a pressing force such that the sealing surfaces abut each other and together form a sealing join which at least partially surrounds the delivery chamber in order to seal off the delivery chamber. The second housing part can be moved relative to the first housing part, against the pressing force, in order to be able to widen the sealing join to form a relieving gap through which liquid situated in the delivery chamber can escape.

A hydraulic device for an internal combustion engine or a gearing system, the hydraulic device including a housing featuring a chamber wall structure which delineates a pressure chamber for a pressurised hydraulic fluid; an actuating member which can be adjusted in the housing relative to the chamber wall structure in an actuating direction and in an actuating counter direction opposite to the actuating direction in order to adjust the delivery volume or phase position; and a sealing element including a sealing structure and a spring structure which is supported or moulded on one of the chamber wall structure and the actuating member, preferably the actuating member, and presses the sealing structure into sealing contact with the other of the chamber wall structure and the actuating member with a spring force in order to seal off the pressure chamber. The sealing structure and the spring structure are moulded in one piece.

Hydraulic device comprising a sealing element

A particle separating system for supplying a cam shaft phase adjuster with cleaned lubricating oil. The phase adjuster includes a stator, a rotor connectable to a cam shaft, and a control valve for hydraulically adjusting the rotational angular position of the rotor relative to the stator. The particle separating system includes an oil separator arranged in the flow of the lubricating oil, upstream of an oil gallery of an engine supplied with the lubricating oil, exhibiting a separation efficiency of at least 50% for particles having a size Pand a separation efficiency of at least 90% at a size P&#x3e;P; a particle separator arranged downstream of the oil separator and upstream of the phase adjuster or control valve, to clean the lubricating oil for the phase adjuster. The particle separator exhibits a separation efficiency of 50% at a size P, where P&#x3c;P&#x3c;100 &#x3bc;m.

A phase setter for adjusting the rotational angular position of a cam shaft relative to a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine. The phase setter includes a stator; a rotor which together with the stator forms a first and second pressure chambers; a control valve featuring a pressure port, and first and second working ports; a feed for the inflow of pressure fluid to the pressure port, a first connecting channel connecting the first pressure chamber to the first working port, and a second connecting channel connecting the second pressure chamber to the second working port; and a reflux valve device acts in the feed and includes a valve structure extending annularly around the rotational axis and has one or more spring tongues or can be axially moved to restrict backflow of pressure fluid through the feed more significantly than the inflow of pressure fluid to the pressure port.

The pump insert comprises A spring flexing along the rotational axis is arranged between the accommodating housing and the second housing part. The spring comprises a spring structure which is made of metal and which imbues the spring with its essential spring characteristics along the rotational axis. The spring is supported towards the second housing part in a region which is arranged in axial alignment with the stroke ring in the direction of the rotational axis, and thus presses the second housing part against the stroke ring.

A cam shaft phase setter for adjusting the rotational angular position of a cam shaft relative to a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine by means of a hydraulic fluid, the cam shaft phase setter including a stator which can be rotary-driven by the crankshaft; a pressure chamber for the fluid; a rotor which is connected, rotationally fixed, to the cam shaft and coupled to the stator such that torque is transmitted and which can be adjusted in its rotational angle relative to the stator by introducing the fluid into the pressure chamber; a control valve including a valve housing and a valve piston; the valve housing including a housing inlet, an operating port to the pressure chamber and a reservoir port to a reservoir for the fluid and being connected, rotationally fixed, to the cam shaft or being formed by the cam shaft; the valve piston being axially adjustable back and forth in the valve housing between a first position and a second position and including a piston feed which is connected to the housing inlet and is connected to the operating port in the first position of the valve piston and separated from the operating port in the second position of the valve piston; an actuating unit, coupled to the valve piston, for axially adjusting the valve piston; and a feedback through which fluid which flows through the valve housing can be fed back into an engine housing of the internal combustion engine which rotatably mounts the cam shaft; wherein the cam shaft phase setter is configured such that the fluid flowing through the control valve flows back into the engine housing through one or more components of the phase setter which rotate with the cam shaft.

An adjustable delivery volume rotary pump, including: first and second housing structures; a delivery chamber comprising a first chamber wall formed by the first housing structure, a second chamber wall formed by the second housing structure, a fluid inlet in a low-pressure region and a fluid outlet in a high pressure region; a pump wheel rotatable about a rotational axis in the delivery chamber; and a pressing device for generating pressing force. The second housing structure can be moved relative to the first housing structure from a first to a second position, against the pressing force. In the second position, a gap exists between the first and the second chamber walls and fluid can escape from the delivery chamber by bypassing the inlet and the outlet, or a circulation of the fluid which reduces the delivery rate of the rotary pump arises in the gap within the delivery chamber.

A device for adjusting the rotational angular position of a cam shaft relative to a crankshaft of a combustion engine includes a supply branch for supplying pressure fluid to setting chambers to generate torque acting on a rotor; and a pressure storage device arranged in the supply branch and including a spring and a storage chamber which can be filled with the pressure fluid against a spring force of the spring, wherein the storage chamber begins to fill, against the spring force, at a start-of-filling pressure which is at most as large as a hot idling pressure which the pressure fluid exhibits when the combustion engine is idling in its hot operational state, and continues to be filled against the spring force if the hot idling pressure is exceeded.
