A vehicle independent suspension for a double-wishbone high link axle has on each wheel side, a wheel carrier which is mounted by at least one lower link and at least one upper link in the form of a transverse or diagonal link, on an assembly frame that is fastened to the vehicle frame. The assembly frame comprises two longitudinal members and two cross members that are fixedly connected in a force-fitting or materially joined fashion to the longitudinal members. The rear cross member is extended upward forming a link carrier for the upper link or mounting the link carrier in a dimensionally rigid manner by a support element. For each longitudinal member, a further link carrier for the upper link is arranged between the cross members; and said further link carrier engages in each case around the closest longitudinal member in a form-fitting or force-fitting or materially joined fashion.

Independent suspension for a double-wishbone high link axle

A vehicle independent suspension has a plurality of wheel-control links, with an upper link being a transverse or diagonal link and with the surface spanned by the joint points of the upper transverse or diagonal link intersecting, at least in regions, a gas or hydropneumatic spring arrangement which suspends the wheel. The gas or hydropneumatic spring arrangement has a bellows which is arranged between a dimensionally rigid head plate arranged on the vehicle body and a rolling piston. Vehicle-body-side joints of the upper transverse or diagonal link are supported on the head plate.

A brake mechanism includes a connecting element that is fixed to a wheel axle of a motor vehicle or is embodied monolithically therewith, and a fastening flange of a disk brake caliper. The fastening flange is fixed to the connecting element. The brake mechanism is configured in such a way that the fastening flange is retained in a positive manner on the connecting element in the circumferential direction of the wheel axle.

In a wheel carrier unit comprising a basic wheel carrier member, a support member connecting the basic wheel carrier member to a vehicle body by way of axle links, and a brake cylinder arranged thereon, the brake cylinder is disposed on the side of the wheel carrier unit remote from the wheel location and a housing for a brake application unit serving as mechanical force transmission unit is formed on the opposite side of the wheel carrier unit.

An independent wheel suspension, having a :lower semi-trailing arm comprising a control armextending in the transverse direction of the vehicle and a control arm which extends toward the rear, diagonally to the longitudinal center plane of the vehicle, from the wheel-side end of the first control arm. The semi-trailing arm, with its outer arm end engages in a vehicle wheel and, by way of a ball joint, is supported on the wheel carrier. On an armwhich is fixed to the wheel carrier, a moment supporting arm is pivotally connected which extends in the transverse direction of the vehicle. The semi-trailing arm and the moment support arm are placed essentially in a common horizontal plane, the outer end of the semi-trailing arm, which is supported on the ball joint, is offset diagonally upwards on the outside, and the ball joint is arranged close to the inner circumference of the wheel.

Independent wheel suspension for motor vehicles

A wheel suspension for a motor vehicle in which one of the wheel suspension links forms a wheel suspension strut and has a shock absorber which is elastically supported by means of its piston rod in an upper guiding joint which is fixed to the body. The upper guiding joint is prestressed to generate a countermoment counteracting bending moments in a transverse plane of the vehicle about the hinge point.

Steering apparatus for track-guidable buses or similar commercial vehicles, in which a supporting arm carrying a track guiding roller is conventionally held on a wheel carrier and extends in the driving direction, reaching outward in front of the vehicle wheel, each wheel carrier being equipped with a control arm connected by means of a tie rod. The supporting arms according to the invention at the same time forms the steering arm, and the tie rod disposed between the steering arms supports the lateral guiding forces in the straight-ahead driving position of the wheels.
