The present invention relates in particular to the storage of dental material in a device (') and the application of the dental material () from such a device (&#x2032;), and a method for treating dental material (). In order to provide a solution that allows the simple and practical handling of a dental material () in the sense of storage, application and/or treatment thereof, inter alia, a device (&#x2032;) for storage and application () comprising a cavity () for storage of the dental material () and a wall () surrounding the cavity () is proposed, wherein the wall () in at least a first temperature range is impermeable to radiation of at least a first wavelength or a first wavelength range in the range of 100 nm to 500 nm, wherein the wall () comprises at least one area that at least in a second temperature range is permeable to radiation of at least a second wavelength or a second wavelength range in the range of 600 nm to 50,000 nm.

Device for storage and application and method

In order to develop mixing and application capsules known from the prior art, so that limitations regarding the dental preparations that can be obtained are overcome, a mixing capsule () for producing a dental preparation is proposed in which the mixing capsule () has: a capsule body () having a mixing chamber for receiving a mixing component and for mixing the dental preparation from the mixing component, a first fluid and a second fluid and having an outlet opening () for expelling the dental preparation, a first cavity for receiving the first fluid, a first piston body () which delimits the mixing chamber in the capsule body () and which has a first passageway for guiding the first fluid from the first cavity into the mixing chamber, a second cavity for receiving the second fluid and a second piston body () which delimits the mixing chamber in the capsule body () and which has a second passageway for guiding the second fluid from the second cavity into the mixing chamber.

A mixing and application capsule for producing a dental preparation is described. The mixing and application capsule can have a capsule body with a mixing space for receiving a mixture component and for mixing the dental preparation from the mixture component and a fluid and with an outlet orifice for expelling the dental preparation, a cavity for receiving the fluid, a piston body that is movable in the capsule body, and delimits the mixing space in the capsule body and has a channel for conveying the fluid from the cavity into the mixing space. The piston body includes wholly or partly of two or a plurality of dissimilar materials, comprising at least one soft component and at least one hard component.

A mixing and application capsule for producing and discharging a dental preparation is disclosed. In order to prevent a liquid loss, a mixing and application capsule for producing a dental preparation is proposed according to the invention, which has: a capsule body () with a mixing chamber () for receiving a mixing component () and for mixing the dental preparation () from the mixing component () and a fluid () and with an outlet opening () for discharging the dental preparation (), a first plunger body () which can be displaced in the capsule body (), delimits the mixing chamber () in the capsule body () and has a channel () to guide the fluid () from a cavity () into the mixing chamber () and a projection (), and a second plunger body () which can be displaced in the capsule body () relative to the first plunger body () and has the cavity () to receive the fluid (), the cavity () being configured to receive the projection () of the first plunger body ().

A screw syringe having a piston spindle with an external thread, a syringe barrel, having a sleeve with a piston end, and a female part with an internal thread is disclosed. The female part slides onto the piston end. The female part has a flange that creates a form fit with a counter-surface at the piston end so axial displacement of the female part in relation to the syringe barrel in the discharge direction is prevented. The female part has retaining surfaces that create a form fit with counter-retaining surfaces of the piston end, thereby preventing axial displacement of the female part in relation to the syringe barrel counter to the discharge direction. The retaining surfaces and counter-retaining surfaces create a form fit that prevents radial relative movement between the retaining surfaces and the counter-retaining surfaces, directed perpendicularly to the sliding direction.

A syringe () for dosed dispensing of material, in particular of free-flowing and/or pasty dental material, includes a sleeve () for accommodating material and a piston () which can be inserted into the sleeve () and which has a piston member ('), a frictional engagement element () which abuts an inner wall () of the sleeve (), and an elastic element () coupling the frictional engagement element () and the pistonmember (&#x2032;), wherein the sleeve () and the piston () inserted into the sleeve define an inner sleeve chamber () for accommodating the material, wherein the elastic element () can be tensioned, on insertion of the piston () and/or of the piston member (&#x2032;) into the sleeve (), by means of a relative lag of the frictional engagement element () in relation to the piston member (&#x2032;),wherein by relaxing the elastic element () it is possible for the piston member (&#x2032;) to be expelled at least partially from the sleeve () while the frictional engagement element () remains motionless, in order to increase the volume of the inner sleeve chamber (). A corresponding method dispenses a material using a piston () and a frictionally engaging elastic element ().

A syringe for the metered delivery of materials, in particular of dental materials, is described. The syringe may include a tube which accommodates material and a rotary plunger. Radially extending gripping bodies may be disposed about a longitudinal axis of the syringe are disposed on the syringe in the region of the outlet opening of the tube for applying the fingers of the hand for rotating the tube about the rotary plunger.
