A covering for a machine for producing or processing a fibrous web, in particular a paper or tissue web. The covering includes a basic covering which has a web-contacting upper side and an underside, and a plurality of polymer elements. The polymer elements are welded onto the upper side and at least some of the polymer elements are in the form of yarn-shaped and/or tape-shaped polymer elements.

Paper machine clothing

A paper machine clothing has a plurality of through-channels formed in a usable region. The through-channels extend through the substrate to connect the upper and lower sides. The through-channels are non-cylindrical with a cross-sectional area becoming smaller along a thickness direction of the substrate from the upper side to a middle region of the substrate. An upper rim of at least one of the plurality of through-channels directly contacts an upper rim of at least one other neighboring through-channel of the plurality of through-channels, wherein the upper rims of both neighboring through-channels have at least three common local maxima, including two outer common local maxima and one intermediate common local maximum that is located between the two outer common local maxima. There is also described a method of producing such a paper machine clothing.

Paper machine clothing and method of producing the same

A substrate of a paper machine clothing has a usable region formed with through-channels that are non-cylindrical with a cross-sectional area becoming smaller from an upper side to a middle region of the substrate. An upper rim of at least one of the through-channels directly contacts an upper rim of at least one neighboring through-channel and the upper rims have common local maximum. A sectional plane parallel to the thickness direction of the substrate defines an intersecting line with a sidewall of a neighboring through-channel. The intersecting line has a convexly shaped first portion, a concavely shaped second portion, and a third portion that is again convexly shaped going from the at least one common local maximum toward the middle region of the substrate. There is also described a method of producing such a paper machine clothing.

Paper machine clothing and method of producing the paper machine clothing

A paper machine clothing has a substrate with an upper side, a lower side, two lateral edges and a usable region between the two lateral edges. The usable region is formed with a plurality of through-channels extending through the substrate and connecting the upper side with the lower side. The through-channels are non-cylindrical with a cross sectional area becoming smaller when going in a thickness direction of the substrate from the upper side to a middle region of the substrate between the upper side and the lower side, wherein a shape of the cross sectional area of at least one through-channel, preferably of all through-channels, of the plurality of through-channels changes proceeding in the thickness direction of the substrate from the upper side to the lower side.

A method for producing an edge protector on a clothing for a machine producing or finishing a fibrous, paper, cardboard or tissue web, includes providing a clothing formed substantially from a woven fabric with crossing weft and warp threads and opposite side edges, applying a film strip onto a surface of one side edge and, immediately before bringing the film strip into contact with the clothing, surfaces of the film strip and the clothing facing each other are heated to slightly melt the surfaces. A pressing force exerted on the film strip applied to the surface of one of the side edges, results in the film strip penetrating at least partially into the woven fabric. That side edge of the clothing with the film strip is cooled, resulting in a stable, particularly integrally joined and form-locking connection between the film strip and the side edge of the clothing.

Edge protector for a papermachine clothing

Clothing is provided for a machine for producing a fibrous web, in particular a paper, board or tissue web. The clothing has a substrate. The substrate has a top side, an underside, two side edges and a useful region between the two side edges. The useful region has a plurality of through-channels, which connect the top side to the underside of the substrate. An inner surface of at least one through-channel, preferably of the majority of all the through-channels, more preferably of all the through-channels in the useful region of the substrate, has a mean roughness depth that is greater than 4 &#x3bc;m, preferably greater than 6 &#x3bc;m, more preferably greater than 8 &#x3bc;m. The clothing of this type is produced using a laser.

Clothing for a machine for producing a fibrous material web

A clothing, in particular a drying wire, for a machine for producing a fibrous web, such as a paper or cardboard web, is a planar textile structure from yarns which intersect in a machine direction and in a cross-machine direction. The planar structure has two edges oriented in the machine direction and two edges oriented in the cross-machine direction. The clothing is joinable along the edges oriented in the cross-machine direction in the machine so as to form an endless belt. The clothing is only calendered by introducing energy in peripheral regions which extend along the edges oriented in the machine direction and/or along the edges oriented in the machine cross direction, on account of which in the peripheral regions the MD yarns are welded to the CMD yarns, and the thickness and/or permeability of the clothing are/is reduced.

Clothing and method for producing a clothing

A fabric for a web-producing machine, such as a papermaker's machine for producing paper, tissue or board, contains a machine-side and a paper-side. The fabric further contains MD-yarns and CD-yarns interwoven with each other in a predetermined repeat pattern. The MD-yarnshave a non-circular cross-section, and a width-to-height aspect ratio of the MD-yarnsis greater than 10:1, preferably at least 11:1. Furthermore, a web-producing machine, such as a papermaker's machine for producing paper, tissue or board, contains a fabric of the above described type, where the fabric is preferably applied in a dryer section of the web-producing machine.

A clothing for a machine for producing fiber cement components includes a basic fabric having MD yarns and CD yarns. At least some of the MD yarns are formed from first multifilaments of a first material and second multifilaments twisted therewith of a second material. The first material has a higher tensile strength and a higher melting temperature than the second material. The MD yarns are heat-treated at a temperature between the melting temperature of the second material and the melting temperature of the first material, so that the at least partially melted second material forms a matrix after cooling, in which the first multifilaments of the first material are embedded. A method for producing the clothing is also provided.

Clothing for a machine for producing fiber-cement components and production method for a clothing of this type

A paper machine clothing has a substrate with an upper side, a lower side, two lateral edges and a usable region between the two lateral edges. The usable region is formed with a multiplicity of through-channels that extend through the substrate from the upper side to the lower side. The through-channels are non-cylindrical with a cross sectional area becoming smaller when going in a thickness direction of the substrate from the upper side to a middle region of the substrate between the upper side and the lower side. An upper rim of at least one of the plurality of through-channels directly contacts an upper rim of at least one other neighboring through-channel of the plurality of through-channels. There is also described a method of producing such a paper machine clothing.

Paper machine clothing and method of producing the clothing

A fabric belt on which, when used as intended in a machine for producing spunbonded fabric webs, such spunbonded fabric webs are formed and transported. The belt has longitudinal threads and transverse threads that bind with the longitudinal threads. The threads are formed substantially of a polymer material and some of the longitudinal and/or transverse threads include electrically conductive material. The longitudinal threads form, on the web material contact side, convex longitudinal thread offsets with a knuckle, and the transverse threads have first transverse threads which form, on the web material contact side, first transverse thread offsets with a knuckle. A height difference between the knuckle crowns of at least some of the convex longitudinal thread offsets and the knuckle crowns of at least some of the first convex transverse thread offsets on the web material contact side is less than 220 &#x3bc;m or even less than 150 &#x3bc;m.

Fabric tape for producing web material, in particular for producing spunbonded fabric

A woven-fabric belt for producing web material, in particular for producing spunbonded fabric, with a plurality of longitudinal threads, running substantially in a longitudinal belt direction, and a plurality of transverse threads, running substantially in a transverse belt direction. The longitudinal threads bind with the transverse threads at binder points, and crown regions of the longitudinal threads are formed on a web-material contacting side. On the web-material contacting side a multiplicity of deposits are provided at least on the longitudinal threads. The deposits do not extend into crown regions and/or deposits which do extend into crown regions in the longitudinal belt direction are asymmetrical in relation to a respective crown region.

Fabric belt for producing web material, in particular for producing spunbonded fabric

A clothing, in particular for use in a press section of a machine for manufacturing a fibrous web, such as a paper, cardboard, or tissue web, includes a base structure and at least one staple-fiber layer which is disposed on the base structure and is connected thereto. The clothing is assembled from a plurality of strips which are provided in the form of planar formations having a proportion of the base structure and a proportion of the at least one staple-fiber layer. Two mutually opposite edges of the strips have seam loops which are each connected to seam loops of the edges of adjacent strips. The edges having the seam loops are oriented in a cross-machine direction of the clothing. A method for manufacturing a clothing is also provided.
