The invention relates to a clothing () for a machine to manufacture or refine a fibrous web, in particular a paper, cardboard, or tissue web, comprising a substrate () and a grid structure () applied on the substrate (), on which the fibrous web is transported when the clothing () is used as intended, wherein the grid structure (') comprises a plurality of first elements (′), all of which aligned in a first direction, and a plurality of second elements (′), all of which aligned in a second direction, which is different from the first direction, wherein the first elements (′) penetrate the second elements (′), forming the grid structure (′), such that an underside of the first elements (′) facing the substrate () and an underside of the second elements (′) facing the substrate () are located in a common plane. In addition, the present invention relates to a method for producing such a clothing.

The invention relates to a clothing especially a press felt for a paper, cardboard or tissue machine with a nonwoven structure comprising staple fibers and which provides the paper and running side of the clothing and with a base structure which is embedded into the nonwoven structure, whereby the base structure comprises a warp knit structure which has sewing threads and reinforcing threads extending lengthways parallel to each other and which have a greater flexural strength than the sewing threads, whereby the sewing threads form loops into which the reinforcing threads are tied thereby forming the warp knit structure. The invention is characterized in that an intermediate layer is arranged at the warp knit structure which is connected with the reinforcing threads by way of the sewing threads.

Paper machine clothing

The present invention relates to a press felt for a machine for the production and/or processing of a fibrous web including a carrier structure which fundamentally influences the dimensional stability of the felt. The carrier structure includes a flat manufactured textile fabric formed from longitudinal threads, transverse threads crossing the longitudinal threads, and sewing threads which connect the longitudinal and transverse threads with each other at the crossing points. The textile fabric is longer than the carrier structure and is laid onto itself in sections such that the carrier structure is formed by several layers of the textile fabric, extending respectively along the entire length of the carrier structure. The layers are connected with each other, at least in sections. Due to the placement of the sections of the textile fabric on top of each other, turned over edges which extend transversely to the longitudinal direction of the carrier structure are formed defining transverse ends of the carrier structure. In an area of the turned over edges, the longitudinal threads have a curved progression to form seam loops on the respective transverse ends, whereby the carrier structure is seamable in a paper machine in that the two transverse ends of the carrier structure are brought together to make the carrier structure continuous and the seam loops are meshed with each other, thus forming a connecting channel extending in the cross direction of the carrier structure. To make the carrier structure continuous, a pintle wire is inserted through the connecting channel.

A paper machine clothing, in particular a press felt for a paper, cardboard or tissue machine, includes a load bearing base structure that extends in the longitudinal and cross directions of the clothing and which is formed, for example from a longitudinal reinforcement module substantially providing the dimensional stability in longitudinal direction of the clothing, and a transverse reinforcement module substantially providing the dimensional stability in the cross direction of the clothing, which is arranged on the longitudinal reinforcement module and is connected with same. The transverse reinforcement module is a warp knit fabric, which includes at least one system of warp threads arranged parallel to each other and one system of stitch-forming sewing threads extending substantially perpendicular thereto into which the warp threads are integrated to form a textile fabric. The warp threads extend transversely to the longitudinal direction of the clothing and have a greater flexural strength than the sewing threads.

Press felt and method for the production thereof

The invention relates to a felt belt, especially a press felt for a paper&#x2014;, cardboard or tissue machine, with a basic structure that is formed by (a) a longitudinal reinforcement module extending on the width and length of the felt belt, including (1) a laid longitudinal thread structure on the width and the length of the felt belt which is formed by at least one longitudinal thread extending essentially in longitudinal direction of the belt, and (2) one carrying layer which is bonded with the laid longitudinal thread structure and extends on the width and the length of the felt belt, as well as (b) one cross reinforcement module which has the same length and width as the felt belt which is located on and bonded with the longitudinal reinforcement module which is formed by a plurality of cross reinforcement module segments, each of which extend on the width of the felt belt, and only on part of the length of the felt belt and which are arranged in tandem in longitudinal direction of the felt belt and which together complete the length of the felt belt, whereby each cross reinforcement segment includes a group of first threads and a group of second threads, whereby the first and the second threads cross each other at thread crossing points and together form a textile surface structure.
