An apparatus includes a closed gas system having: a working circuit in which a compressor for a working fluid, a first heat exchanger for heating the working fluid, an expander and a second heat exchanger for cooling the working fluid are arranged; a first pressurised gas tank and a first gas pipe which branches off from the working circuit between the compressor and the first heat exchanger and opens into the first pressurised gas tank; and a second gas pipe which branches off from the first pressurised gas tank and opens into the working circuit between the expander and the second heat exchanger. A method controls pressure in a closed gas system using the apparatus.

Pressure control for closed Brayton cycles

A power plant including a compressor, a combustion chamber and a turbine, and a compressor air line, which connects the compressor to the combustion chamber, a first heat exchanger connected into the compressor air line and into an exhaust line branching off the turbine. A first expander is arranged between the first heat exchanger and the combustion chamber in the compressor air line, and the first expander and the compressor are arranged on a common shaft.

Extended gas turbine process having an expander

A power plant with a multi-stage intercooled compressor, a combustion chamber, a turbine which is arranged downstream of the combustion chamber, a compressor air line which connects the compressor to the combustion chamber, and a first heat exchanger which is connected into the compressor air line and into an exhaust gas line branching off from the turbine. A first compressor air expander is arranged in the compressor air line between the first heat exchanger and the combustion chamber, and the power plant includes a device for regasifying liquid natural gas, having a natural gas line, wherein a heat exchanger device is connected into the natural gas line between two compressor stages of the compressor.

An apparatus and method for generating electrical energy and for vaporising a cryogenically liquefied gas, the device having a conduit for the cryogenically liquefied gas, a pump located in the conduit, a heat engine, and a waste-heat recovery system downstream of the heat engine, wherein a branch conduit branches off from the conduit and the branch conduit leads into the heat engine, and wherein the apparatus also has a fluid circuit with the following components arranged successively in the flow direction of the fluid: a first heat exchanger which is also connected in the flow direction of the cryogenically liquefied gas past the pump into the conduit; a compressor; a second heat exchanger; parallel to one another, a third heat exchanger with a first side, and the waste-heat recovery system; a depressurising machine having a coupled generator; and the third heat exchanger with a second side.

LNG regasification

A combined cycle turbine plant having at least one gas turbine, a steam turbine and at least one waste heat steam generator. The waste heat steam generator has at least one condensate pre-heater into which a condensate line discharges, and has a feed water pre-heater which is connected upstream of the condensate pre-heater in the flow direction of a gas turbine flue gas and upstream of which, on the feed water side, there is connected a feed water pump, and which is connected to a fuel preheating unit for the gas turbine. From the fuel preheating unit a line for cooled feed water discharges into a motive medium inlet of a jet pump of which the suction medium inlet is connected to an outlet of the condensate pre-heater and of which the outlet is connected to the condensate line. A corresponding method recirculates condensate in a combined cycle turbine plant.

Condensate recirculation

A power plant and method for preserving a power plant, the power plant having a steam turbine with a shaft, further including a condenser mounted downstream of the steam turbine in the direction of flow of the steam, a vacuum pump mounted downstream of the condenser, a compressed steam system with shaft seals, and a compressed steam supply line extending into the shaft seals; a first nitrogen line extends into the condenser, and a second nitrogen line as well as a recirculation line that branches off the vacuum pump extend into the compressed steam supply line.

Preservation method

A power plant and method for operating a power plant having a gas turbine and a generator which are arranged on a section, a shaft which connects the gas turbine to the generator in order to transmit a force, and a clutch which is arranged in the shaft between the gas turbine and the generator such that the shaft includes at least two sub-shafts, a first sub-shaft between the generator and the clutch and a second sub-shaft, which is referred to as a gas turbine intermediate shaft, between the gas turbine and the clutch. An electric motor is arranged in the section between the clutch and the gas turbine in order to accelerate the gas turbine.

A water-steam circuit of a power plant includes at least one low-pressure steam system and a reservoir for waste water from the water-steam circuit, wherein the reservoir has, in addition to at least one waste water feed line, a further heat supply from the water-steam circuit and a steam outlet which is connected via a waste steam pipe to the low-pressure steam system of the water-steam circuit. A method for cleaning waste water from a power plant having a water-steam circuit, wherein the waste water is conducted into a reservoir and, in addition to a steam fraction generated by automatic evaporation of waste water in the reservoir, a water fraction that is also produced is evaporated using energy from the water-steam circuit, and the entire steam mass flow is introduced into a low-pressure steam system of the power plant.

Flash tank design

A method for stabilizing the network frequency of an electrical power network is provided. The network includes at least a two-shaft gas turbine which includes power turbine and a gas generator, wherein the power turbine is connected to a first generator by means of a shaft in a torque transferring manner. Also, an assembly for carrying out the method is provided. The first shaft of the power turbine and the first generator turn permanently synchronized with the power network and the first generator drives the rotation as a motor and a second shaft of the gas generator permanently turns at an ignition speed, wherein the gas generator is ignited upon a power demand and the power turbine is driven by the created hot gas of the gas generator, such that the first generator creates power.

Method for stabilization of the network frequency of an electrical power network

The invention relates to a steam circuit in a power station, comprising at least one evaporator and at least one superheater, characterized in that a condensate collector and return line is provided between the superheater and the steam generator to trap condensate in the superheater and return the condensate to the evaporator.
