In a method for optically measuring the properties of at least one measurement path (I, I) between a transmitter (H) and a receiver (D), the receiver (D) receives an optical signal from a compensation transmitter (K) in addition to an optical signal from the transmitter (H). The signal of the transmitter (H) is reflected by an object (O) or is transmitted to the receiver (D) by means of said object in a different manner. The output signal (SO) of the receiver (D) is fed to a controller (CT), which changes the transmitter feed signal (S) and/or compensation feed signal (S) in accordance with a control algorithm. In the process, the controller (CT) determines two signals or values, which represent control parameters (S, S&#x3c6;) for magnitude and phase or magnitude and delay. In a stage downstream of the controller (CT), the presence and/or the distance (r) of an object (O) is determined from said two control parameters (S, S&#x3c6;) in dependence on at least one of said two parameters, either from both parameters or from one of the two parameters.

Method for optically measuring distances in the near and far range

A measurement device relates to a Halios system for measuring an optical transmission path, in which at least one receiver and a compensation transmitter are optically separated from each other by an optical barrier in such a matter that a direct irradiation of said receiver by said compensation transmitter is not possible. Said compensation transmitter and a transmitter are of the same type and/or have at least a common electric optical working point in an optical working point. Said optical barrier has a compensation path, characterized by a compensation window, which attenuates the light of the compensation transmitter before it hits the receiver in such a manner that the compensation transmitter and said transmitter are operated at least in an optical working point by a controller in said identical electro-optical working point.

Multifunctional micro sensor system

A device for measuring a measured optical transmission path includes a first optical transmitter transmitting into the measured optical tramsmission path and a compensation transmitter transmitting into a compensation optical transmission path. The device includes an optical receiver for receiving transmissions from each of the first optical transmitter and the compensation transmitter. A controller controls the compensation transmitter and provides a controller output signal representative of a measured value of the first transmission path. A nose piece separates the optical transmitter from the optical receiver. The compensation transmitter is placed in a first cavity. The receiver is placed in a second cavity. A filter in the measured optical transmission path has a transmissivity for the wavelength of the light of the first optical transmitter of at least 50% and an absorption factor for the wavelength of the light of the compensation transmitter of at least 25%.

Multifunctional optical micro sensor system

The present invention relates to an optical receiver () for receiving alternating-light data signals and for storing electrical energy obtained from extraneous light, having a photodiode () for receiving light, which comprises extraneous light and an alternating-light data signal component with a higher frequency in comparison to the extraneous light, and for converting the light into a photocurrent (I) which comprises a data signal current (I) and an extraneous light current (I) said receiver additionally comprises a coupling unit () for coupling in and separating the data signal current generated by the optical alternating-light data signal component from the extraneous light current generated by the extraneous light, an amplifying unit () for amplifying the data signal current and an energy storage unit () which is charged by the extraneous light current (I) and which includes a circuit for increasing voltage, wherein the energy charged in the energy storage unit () is used for at least partially supplying the energy for the optical receiver () and/or for at least partially supplying the energy for a measurement arrangement () comprising the optical receiver ().
