A dialysis machine that includes a valve member having a deformable area configured to deform outwardly away when pressurized fluid is introduced into the valve member. The valve member is configured so that, when a dialysis fluid cassette is disposed in a cassette compartment of the dialysis machine and pressurized fluid is introduced into the valve member, the deformable area obstructs a fluid channel of the dialysis fluid cassette to control dialysis fluid flow therethrough.

An apparatus for the treatment of a medical liquid has a liquid treatment machine and a cassette that is insertable in the machine. The cassette has a rigid base body with fitted chambers and passages and a foil that covers the chambers and passages. Actuators and sensors are arranged in the liquid treatment machine for the operation of the apparatus with the inserted cassette such that cassettes are insertable in different integration shapes.

Device for treating a medical liquid

A filter device has a housing in the shape of a tubular section, with at least two chambers separated from one another by membranes, and with at least one connection for each flow chamber. The device has two filter caps, with one of each of the filter caps being located on each of the two end regions of the housing, and connected directly or indirectly thereto. All connections for the flow chambers are positioned on the tubular section in order to avoid tolerance variations that frequently occur during installation of the filter device.

The second flow path surrounding the first fluid flow path and having at least one cap that overlaps the cap of the first fluid flow path. The second flow path also having at least one fluid port. The filter device providing a simple arrangement that is easily disinfected or sterilized.

Filter device

A blood treatment device, in particular a dialysis machine, which permits both single-needle and dual-needle operation. The device has a blood treatment unit, in particular a dialyzer that has an inlet connected to a feed line and an outlet connected to a return line. The feed line has two parallel line branches with a positive displacement pump being connected into the first and second line branches. To produce a fluid connection between the outlet of the dialyzer and one of the two pumps, a connection line is provided. For dual-needle operation, the feed and return lines are connected to an arterial and a venous needle. For single-needle operation, the feed and return lines are brought together and connected to a common needle. The connection line permits single-needle operation without great changes to the structure of the blood treatment device.
