A motor vehicle comprises a drive train with an electric motor, to which a traction battery and a power electronics device comprising at least one pulse inverter are associated, and a cooling device for cooling the electric motor, the power electronics device and the traction battery, wherein the electric motor is cooled in a first cooling circuit with coolant of a first maximum temperature in the supply flow, wherein the power electronics device is cooled in a second coolant circuit, which is separate from the first coolant circuit, using coolant of a second maximum temperature in the supply flow, which is lower than the first maximum temperature.

Motor vehicle and method for operation of a cooling device

A system for a vehicle, which has a battery, a DC-DC converter, a DC-AC converter, an electric motor, and a switch. The battery is connected to the DC-DC converter and the DC-AC converter is connected to the electric motor. The switch is arranged between the DC-DC converter and the DC-AC converter, and the switch is designed, in a first switching state, to electrically connect the DC-DC converter and the DC-AC converter and to permit an exchange of electrical energy between the battery and the electric motor in order to carry out a traction process. The switch is designed, in a second switching state, to electrically isolate the DC-DC converter and the DC-AC converter, to connect the battery to an electrical charging station, and to permit an exchange of electrical energy between the battery and the electric charging station in order to carry out a charging process.

System for a vehicle

A method for operating a motor vehicle, including an electric machine and a coupling device, which, in a first coupling state, couples the electric machine to a drivetrain and, in a second coupling state, decouples the electric machine from the drivetrain, wherein the method includes the following steps: a) registering an item of coupling information, which specifies whether the coupling device is in the first or second coupling state, b) analyzing a recuperation condition, the fulfillment of which is dependent on the coupling information, wherein the recuperation condition is fulfilled or can only be fulfilled if the coupling device is in the second coupling state, and c) braking the electric machine by operating the electric machine as a generator if the recuperation condition is fulfilled.

The present invention relates to a method for recuperation based braking of a vehicle in which electrical energy generated during a braking process is decreased by operating at least one second electric machine of the vehicle in a zero slip mode in order to prevent overcharging of a traction battery of the vehicle.
