The invention relates to a broadband high power amplifier that comprises a signal input adapted to receive an input signal, at least one amplifier stage adapted to amplify the received input signal, a signal output adapted to output the signal amplified by the at least one amplifier stage as an output signal, a monitoring unit adapted to monitor signal characteristics of the input signal and the output signal and a control unit adapted to operate the at least one amplifier stage at an optimal operating point depending on the current signal characteristics monitored by said monitoring unit.

Broadband high power amplifier

The present invention provides an amplifier circuit for amplifying an incoming signal, the amplifier circuit comprising at least two signal paths configured to amplify signals of different overlapping frequency bands, a signal splitter comprising an input port configured to receive the incoming signal, the signal splitter being coupled to an input side of the signal paths and configured to split the incoming signal into split signals for the signal paths, and a diplexer coupled to an output side of the signal paths and configured to combine the amplified signals and provide a combined amplified signal. Further, the present invention provides a respective method.

Amplifier circuit and method

An amplifier includes two amplifier circuits and a power splitter. The power splitter splits a signal to be amplified and generates a phase displacement of 90&#xb0; in the case of a rated frequency between resulting partial signals. In this context, the amplifier circuits each amplify one of the partial signals or respectively a signal derived from one of the partial signals. The amplifier additionally contains a first delay element, which is arranged between the power splitter and one of the amplifier circuits.

Doherty amplifier with additional delay element

An amplifier comprises a main-amplifier circuit, an auxiliary-amplifier circuit and a signal-generating device. Output terminals of the main-amplifier circuit and of the auxiliary-amplifier circuit are connected according to the Doherty principle. The signal-generating device is configured to generate directly a main-amplifier signal as an input signal of the main-amplifier circuit and an auxiliary-amplifier signal as an input signal of the auxiliary-amplifier circuit.

Doherty amplifier with efficiency optimization

An amplifier comprises a first amplifier circuit, a second amplifier circuit, a hybrid-coupler circuit and a termination. The hybrid-coupler circuit comprises an output port and an isolation port. The termination in this context is connected to the isolation port of the hybrid-coupler circuit. The termination comprises a first switch, a first capacitor and a first inductance.

Quasi-broadband amplifier according to the Doherty principle

In a circuit arrangement for distributing radio-frequency power supplied from a summation port to a plurality of single-ports, or for combining in a summation port radio-frequency power supplied from single-ports, the absorption resistance which is active between the single-ports is constituted by an absorption resistor coupled to ground and connected to the single-ports via a three-port network, the three-port network being designed so that within the operating frequency range the signals to the two input ports thereof are in phase opposition at the common output port.

Circuit arrangement for distributing or for combining radio-frequency

In a high frequency transistor power amplifier comprising a plurality of power transistors which are disposed in an annular arrangement, the input terminals of the transistors are connected to a common input through separate input matching circuits and a distributor circuit. The output terminals of the power transistors, on the other hand, are combined directly in a common output connection, without any intermediate matching circuits, this common output connection being connected to a single output matching circuit common to all the power transistors.
