A hip prosthesis has a shaft which is implantable in the femur, a ball head anchored on the shaft, a socket in which the ball head is movably supported, and a bipolar shell placed between the ball head and the socket, whereby the ball head rotates in the bipolar shell and the bipolar shell rotates in the socket.

A hip joint prosthesis has an external metal shell, an internal socket insert in which a ball head can rotate. The ball head is joined to a metal prosthesis shaft of the femoral shaft component and the movement of the prosthesis shaft is limited by abutting against the margin of the socket insert. A soft, biocompatible cushioning element is applied to the socket insert on the circumferential surface of the prosthesis shaft.

A vibration-cushioned handle, to be clamped in at one end, is designed for an electrical tool or the like. The handle has a coupling at one end for firm attachment to the body of the tool, and a coaxial handle sleeve. At least one cushioned spring element is located between the sleeve and the coupling. The handle provides good reduction of vibration, and sufficient sturdiness of the handle connection on the other, while being of simple construction. To this purpose, the spring element has different spring rigidities, on the one side in the radial direction relative to the axis of the handle sleeve, and on the other side in the direction of a pendulous or Cardanic excursion of the handle sleeve, around a pole lying on their axis.
