A pocket cage of synthetic material for roller bearings including a plurality of rollers spaced circumferentially, consisting of side rings and ribs arranged between them, whose pocket-side working faces are adapted to the roller shape, each rib having a first section arranged in the region of the arc separating the rollers in the circumferential direction of the bearing, and a second section holding the rollers in the radial direction of the bearing, characterized in that the pockets are widened at least in the region of a side ring by reduction of the holding sections.

A wheel bearing is provided with a sensor device for ABS systems, wherein a support ring for a sensor coupled is rotationally movable and is releasably secured by a groove in the bearing race from the axial movement. At initial installation the unit is placed on the bearing seat, pressing the support ring into predetermined axial position on a cylindrical surface of the axle member. In operation any creeping of the bearing race will cause no damage, and when the bearing is replaced the support ring with sensor remains in place on the axle member.

In a device for detecting the rotational speed of a motor vehicle wheel, a sensor and a sensor bracket. The bracket is mounted on a non-rotating part of the vehicle chassis such as an axle journal. The sensor bracket (1) has a tubular socket for the sensor (13) with a locking clip (3), which can be flipped open around a hinge (4), and a latching element (8, 9), which holds the locking clip (3) in a closed position.

Attachment means for mounting a first annular member such as a bearing ring having a first seating surface to a second member, such as a housing. The bearing ring has a plurality of recesses formed therein and is made of a material having a predetermined hardness. The housing has a second seating surface and a contact surface disposed angularly to the second seating surface and a fillet surface defining at least one narrow intermediate space at the juncture of the said second seating surface and contact surface. The recesses in said first seating surface open toward the internal end surface and open out into the intermediate spaces, whereas, at the end facing away from this end surface, the recesses are closed off by a boundary wall. By this arrangement, during assembly of the bearing ring in the bore of the housing or to a journal, material from the housing or journal is removed to fill the recesses and thereby lock the bearing ring in place.

A roller seating for swivel motions includes an outer ring, an inner ring and roller rolling in between which are inserted individually between spacers of a flectionally elastic cage. On at least one end of the spacers, one or more projections directed radially outward and/or radially inward have been formed which face, radially and/or axially, a revolving shoulder surface of the outer ring or the inner ring. In order to keep the play of the rollers between the spacers on the circumferential side as small as desired, each projection of the cage is arranged in such manner that it pushes against the circumference of the corresponding shoulder surface of the outer ring or the inner ring and brings the holding surfaces of the spacers against the rollers due to the elastic deformation of the cage.

Roller seating

A support for a rolling bearing is provided with an essentially annular transition region between sleeve-shaped portion and a flange connected thereto, the flange having a plurality of circumferentially distributed, axially extending mounting holes. The transition region has a concavely curved or linearly inclined profile. A substantially spherical base surface is provided axially of each mounting hole, the base surface connecting the rim of the hole with the inner surface of a substantially part-cylindrical recess in the transition region, the recess having a diameter greater than the hole diameter.

Support for rolling bearing

A sealed rolling bearing has at least one bearing ring with an end surface extending radially thereabout and supporting a support surface that may be positioned to engage the end surface. At least one annular groove is provided in either the support or end surface, having a groove bottom in which an axially compressible sealing ring is assembled. The sealing ring is axially and circumferentially yielding and is arranged either against a radially inner groove wall inclined to extend radially inwardly the groove bottom, or against a radially outer groove wall inclined to extend radially outwardly to the groove bottom.

Sealing rolling bearing

A roller bearing assembly comprising inner and outer rings having an annular space therebetween, a plurality of rolling elements in the annular space, a cage for guiding the rolling elements, a retaining element mounted on one of the rings and having flexible projections to snap fit with complementary surfaces of the cage whereby the one ring is connected through the cage to the retaining element.
