The occurrence of fluctuations in the center flatness of the metal strip after the individual passes and the resulting disadvantages for the rolling stability and the product quality are prevented. The method provides that, also for the target center flatness of the metal strip after a predetermined pass k with i=1 . . . <k< . . . I and for the target center flatness after the subsequent passes, pass-specific interval ranges are also specified in each case, and in that the successive calculation of the control variables and profile values is then carried out taking into account such additional specifications as well.

A method for producing metal strip in a rolling mill, so that as a result of a more accurate manufacturing of metal strips in the future, a more precise forecasting of the profile contour of the metal strip can be obtained over the width of the metal strip, as well as a more precise setting of the profile actuator of the rolling mill. A forecast value is calculated for the profile contour within the context of the simulation of the rolling process before the rolling of the metal strip. In contrast to that, the calculation in the simulation is not conducted prior to the rolling, but instead it is obtained by a post-calculation after the rolling of the metal strip has been carried out.

The invention pertains to a device for influencing the temperature distribution over the width of a slab or a strip, particularly in hot strip rolling mill, wherein at least one cooling device is provided that features nozzles for applying a cooling medium, wherein the nozzles are arranged and/or actuated in such a way that the cooling medium is applied, in particular, at positions at which an elevated temperature is determined. Device for influencing the temperature distribution over a width

The invention relates to a method for rolling strips in the roll stand of a rolling mill, wherein said roll stand consists of two axially displaceable working rollers which are provided with a CVC-grinding or a similar contour and whose curved profile is expressed in a third or higher-order polynom and, simultaneously with simple handling of working rollers with large possibilities of adjusting the profile and flatness, the aim of said invention is to homogenize the working rollers wear. For this purpose, the increased cyclic shifting of the working rollers is induced or forced by a cyclic variation of the setting values of the curve of the working cylinders from one strip to another in a predetermined part of the adjustment range thereof, wherein the combined the action of the two adjustment systems (the curve of the working cylinders and the shift thereof) enables the parabolic effects of said two adjustment systems to supplement each other with a high approximation, thereby ensuring the flatness and, in addition, optimally homogenizing the working roller wear.
