A coupling sleeve for connecting cable ends of high-voltage DC cables by means of a connection body including control inserts for controlling the electric field, wherein the connection body is made of an elastomer, particularly a silicone elastomer. A cable system, particularly for high-voltage DC applications, including two cables and a coupling sleeve, as well as to a method for producing a coupling sleeve, and to a method for connecting two cable ends of two DC cables by means of a coupling sleeve.

Coupling sleeve

A cable sealing end includes a base fitting configured for mounting on a base; a top fitting configured for securing an overhead conductor; an insulating body made of polymeric material; a conductive connection device configured to form a connection between a cable conductor and the top fitting; and a supporting element. The supporting element includes an elongated metal body; a top plate disposed on the elongated metal body and securable to the top fitting; and a metallic cylindrical structural component. The structural component projects into an interior of the insulating body and has a base flange disposed adjacent to the base fitting. The structural component has a length of one quarter to one third of a length of the insulating body. An entire length of the elongated metal body and the structural component, with the exception of the base flange, are embedded in the insulating body.

Outdoor sealing end

The invention relates to an outdoor sealing end ( ) which is elevated on one side. Means ( ) for fixing the cable ( ) are designed on the base fittings ( ). An electric duct ( ) is situated inside the sealing end. Additional, conventional means for electrically connecting the cable shield to the earth potential and means for the field control (field control body ) and the insulation on the inhomogeneous potential transitions on the cable end are provided. The electric duct ( ) that is embodied as a pipe or pin is connected to the cable conductor ( ) by means of contact elements ( ). The duct ( ), the insulating body ( ) and the top fittings ( ) form an assembly unit. The surface of the sealing end is coated with a voltage-dependent field-controlling layer ( ).

Cable sealing end

An outdoor terminal is mounted at one end on a pylon. A base armature is provided fastened to a cable with an electrical feedthrough to the interior of the terminal. The cable terminal is electrically connected to a ground potential and includes a field control element and isolations at inhomogeneous potential transitions on the cable end. The electrical feedthrough is configured as a tube or a pin and is connected to the cable conductor via contract elements. The feedthrough, the insulators and the head armature form one assembly unit.
