According to one aspect of the present invention there is provided a method for controlling data service for a vehicle-based user of a telecommunication network. The method comprising: retrieving data associated with location behavior of the user within the network; predicting, based on said data and on a current user location within the network, a future user location within the network; performing a determination of network capability at the future user location; and modifying, in response to the determination, a configuration of the network and/or a service parameter associated with the user. A network element, system and computer program product are also provided.

Method and system of providing data service according to a user's future location

According to one aspect of the present invention there is provided a method for controlling data service for a user of a telecommunication network. The method comprising: retrieving data associated with historical behavior of the user within the network; predicting, based on said data and on a current user location within the network, a future user location within the network; performing a determination of network capability at the future user location; and modifying, in response to the determination, a configuration of the network and/or a service parameter associated with the user. A network element, system and computer program product are also provided.

A mobile telecommunications device runs a plurality of applications installed on the device (for providing services to the device user). Monitoring means monitors the performance of the applications for generating performance data (for each application), and analyzing means analyzes the performance data (for each application) and to identify characteristics of the applications in dependence thereon. The mobile device may alert a user of the device of the problematic ones of the applications (for example via the GUI of the device). A mobile telecommunications device application performance analyzing apparatus may be coupled to the mobile telecommunications network that provides mobile telecommunications services to a plurality of mobile telecommunications devices and may receive the performance data and which includes analysis means for conducting analysis of the performance data to identify characteristics of the applications in dependence thereon.

Mobile device application analysis

A communication of a first terminal is managed in a communication network comprising subnetworks. The first terminal can communicate with at least one second terminal and at least one subnetwork of the network is accessible via this second terminal. At the level of the first terminal, information relating to resources of the subnetwork which is accessible via the second terminal is received from the second terminal. On the basis of this information, a subnetwork is selected for the communication of the first terminal from among a set of subnetworks of the network comprising at least this subnetwork accessible via the second terminal.

Only nodes that have not contributed to routing a registration request respond to the advertisement message.

The method of selecting a wireless access telecommunication network in a global link between a first terminal () and a second terminal () comprises the steps of furnishing context information related to a set of at least one terminal () called context taken from the first and second terminals, and in determining the network selected from context information from the set of context terminals () by following a set of predetermined rules. The context information of at least one reference terminal taken in the set of context terminals includes information related to a local environment of the at least one reference terminal () and the determination of the selected network depends on information related to the local environment of the at least one reference terminal ().
