The present invention relates to novel crystalline forms of 2,3-dimethyl-8-(2,6 -dimethylbenzylamino)-N-hydroxyethyl-imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-6-carboxamide mesylate salt and to mixture thereof. Further, the present invention also relates to processes for obtaining them, the use of said compounds for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, and pharmaceutical compositions containing them.

Crystalline forms of 2,3-dimethyl-8-(2,6-dimethylbenzylamino)-N-hydroxyethyl-imidazo[1,2-a] pyridine-6-carboxamide mesylate salt

There is provided EtOC&#x2014;CH&#x2014;(R)Cgl-Aze-Pab-OH, or a pharmaceutically-acceptable salt thereof, in a form which is substantially crystalline. It has been found that crystalline forms of EtOC&#x2014;CH&#x2014;(R)Cgl-Aze-Pab-OH have a high chemical and solid state stability when compared to amorphous forms of the compound.

Crystalline forms of EtO2C-Ch2-(R)Cgi-Aze-Pab-OH

There is provided EtO C&mdash;CH &mdash;(R)Cgl&mdash;Aze&mdash;Pab&mdash;OH, or a pharmaceutically-acceptable salt thereof, in a form which is substantially crystalline. It has been found that crystalline forms of EtO C&mdash;CH &mdash;(R)Cgl&mdash;Aze&mdash;Pab&mdash;OH have a high chemical and solid state stability when compared to amorphous forms of the compound.
