A process for producing rigid PUR/PIR foams via the reaction of a reaction mixture comprising A1 an isocyanate-reactive component, A2 a flame retardant, A3 a blowing agent, A4 a catalyst, and A5 optionally auxiliaries and additives with B an organic polyisocyanate component. Component A1 comprises a diurethane diol A1.1 and a compound A1.2 selected from the group consisting of polyether polyol, polyester polyol, polyether carbonate polyol, and polyether ester polyol. Also disclosed is a rigid PUR/PIR foam, an insulating material, a composite element, and a mixture.

Flame-retardant polyurethane rigid foams

This invention relates to novel macromers containing dithiocarbonate (or xanthate) groups, novel preformed stabilizers comprising macromers, and novel polymer polyols comprising the novel macromers and/or novel preformed stabilizers. This invention also relates to processes for the preparation of these materials. Other aspects of this invention include foams comprising the novel polymer polyols and a process for preparing foam comprising the novel polymer polyols.

Dithiocarbonate containing polyols as polymer polyol stabilizers

The invention relates to a method for producing polyether carbonate polyols by adding alkylene oxides and carbon dioxide to an H-functional starter substance in the presence of a double metal cyanide (DMC) catalyst or in the presence of a metal complex catalyst based on the metals zinc and/or cobalt, wherein (&#x3b3;) alkylene oxide and carbon dioxide are added to an H-functional starter substance in a reactor with a total pressure (absolute) of 5 to 120 bar in the presence of a double metal cyanide catalyst or in the presence of a metal complex catalyst based on the metals zinc and/or cobalt, and a reaction mixture containing the polyether carbonate polyol is obtained, (&#x3b4;) the reaction mixture obtained in step (&#x3b3;) remains in the reactor or is optionally continuously transferred to a downstream reactor at a starting total pressure (absolute) of 5 to 120 bar, the content of free alkylene oxide in the reaction mixture being reduced in the course of a downstream reaction in each case, and the total pressure (absolute) can be reduced by up to 50% during the step (&#x3b4;), and (&#x3b6;) the content of highly volatile components of the obtained reaction mixture is thermally reduced at a temperature of 80&#xb0; C. to 200&#xb0; C. The invention is characterized in that (&#x3b5;) the reaction mixture resulting from step (&#x3b4;) is brought to a total pressure (absolute) of &#x2264;2.0 bar, preferably 0.5 bar to 2.0 bar, particularly preferably 0.9 bar to 1.1 bar, prior to step (&#x3b6;) and then left at a temperature of 80 to 180&#xb0; C. for a dwell time of at least 0.5 h. After the dwell time has expired, 5 to 100 ppm of component K is added to the resulting mixture, component K being selected from at least one compound which contains a phosphorus-oxygen-hydrogen group.

Method for producing polyether carbonate polyols

The present invention relates to a method for producing polyether carbonate polyols by attaching alkyloxides and carbon dioxide to H-functional starter compounds, characterized in that at least one alcohol containing at least two urethane groups is used as the H-functional starter compound. The invention further relates to polyether carbonate polyols containing a structural unit of the formula (IV), wherein: Rdenotes a linear or branched Cto C-alkylene, which optionally can be interrupted by heteroatoms of O, S or N and can be substituted, preferably by CH&#x2014;CHor CH&#x2014;CH(CH); Rdenotes a linear or branched Cto C-alkylene, Cto C-cycloalkylene, Cto C-alkylene, Cto C-aralkylene, Cto C-alkenylene, Cto C-alkynylene, each of which can optionally be interrupted by heteroatoms such as O, S or N and/or can be substituted with alkyl, aryl and/or hydroxyl groups, preferably Cto C-alkyls; Rdenotes H, linear or branched Cto C-alkyl, Cto C-cycloalkyl, Cto C-aryl, Cto C-aralkyl, Cto C-alkenyl, Cto C-alkynyl, each of which can optionally be interrupted by heteroatoms such as O, S or N and/or can each be substituted with alkyl, aryl and/or hydroxyl groups, preferably H; Rdenotes H, a linear of branched Cto C-alkyl, Cto C-cycloalkyl, Cto C-aryl, Cto C-aralkyl, Cto C24-alkenyl, C2 to C-alkynyl, each of which can optionally be interrupted by heteroatoms such as O, S or N and/or can each be substituted with alkyl, aryl and/or hydroxyl groups, preferably H; Rdenotes a linear or branched Cto C-alkylene, which can optionally be interrupted by heteroatoms such as O, S or N and can be substituted, preferably by CH&#x2014;CHor CH&#x2014;CH(CH); and wherein R1 to R5 can be identical or different to each other.

Use of alcohols which contain at least two urethane groups for producing polyether carbonate polyols

The present invention relates to a process for preparing polyether polyols by adding alkylene oxides onto H-functional starter compounds, characterized in that at least one alcohol containing at least two urethane groups is used as H-functional starter compound.
