Systems and methods for controlling energy delivered for thermal ablation. An apparatus may include a conductive member comprising an array of conductive filaments, a power supply configured to provide the current to the conductive/resistive member in a plurality of electrical pulses, and a processing circuit coupled to the power supply. The processing circuit is configured to control the supply current value to be greater than or equal to a first current density and less than or equal to a second current density, and control the pulse length to be greater than or equal to a first pulse length and less than a second pulse length, control the supply current value to have a third current density at a first time and a fourth current density at a second time.

Transdermal applicator

The device of the present invention comprises an intervening release liner as a common special feature, and the intervening release liner covers a part of an adhesive surface of a patch. The intervening release liner gets away from the patch, and is fixed to a patch application support (or porator tab). Due to such constitution, under a situation in use where the first part of the adhesive area of the patch adheres to a skin surface, the patch application support is slidable along the skin surface while peeling the intervening release liner from said part of the adhesive area of the patch to adhere to the skin surface.

A transdermal permeant delivery of at least one permeant composition into a tissue membrane of a subject including a disposable substrate having at least a portion of a bottom surface of a first release liner connected to an upper surface of the substrate and a patch having a backing layer and a reservoir that is selectively removable from the top surface of the first release liner. In a connected position, a first portion of the backing layer of the patch is releaseably mounted to a top surface of the first release liner in spaced registration with a poration area of the substrate.
