A microscopy system provides for scanning a sample by a microscope, which is at least in part electrically or electronically controllable and in which a plurality of images or digital images are generatable in a scanning operation at different times and/or different locations of the sample. The microscopy system includes a control computer configured to control the microscope, as well as further computers that are integratable into the microscopy system such that an adaptation of the microscopy system is possible dynamically and/or during the scanning operation using at least one of the further computers.

An imaging device for a microscope () is disclosed that comprises a plurality of individual light sources () and a detector (). The plurality of the individual light sources () is mounted on a translation stage (). The imaging device further includes moveable optics arranged to direct a light path () onto a stationary sample () and collect reflected or fluoresced radiation from the sample ().

A method for scanning a sample using an electrically or electronically controllable microscope includes performing a continuous scanning of the sample so as to repeatedly generate a plurality of images of the sample, each of the plurality of images corresponding to a different time, the microscope being controlled via a control computer during the scanning. The plurality of images are analyzed using at least one second computer connected via a network, wherein the at least one second computer is configured to classify each of the plurality of images as one of interesting and non-interesting while the continuous scanning of the sample with the microscope continues. The continuous scanning of the sample is automatically influenced based on the classifying of the images performed by the at least one second computer.

The present invention relates to a device and a method for microscopy () of a plurality of samples (), wherein the device comprises:&#x2014;a first optical detector (), which is designed to consecutively adopt a plurality of measuring positions and to detect first image data () of a sample () with a first spatial resolution at each measuring position;&#x2014;an image data analyser device which is designed to determine for each sample () a region () of the sample to be examined represented within the first image data () in each case;&#x2014;a second optical detector (), which is coupled to the first optical detector () in such a manner that the second optical detector () tracks the first optical detector () and therefore the second optical detector () adopts measuring positions which the first optical detector () had previously adopted. The second optical detector () is designed to detect for each sample () respective second image data () from the region () to be examined in the sample () concerned, with a spatial resolution that is higher than the first spatial resolution.

Device and method for microscopy on a plurality of samples

A method for scanning a sample using an electrically or electronically controllable microscope, includes scanning the sample so as to generate a plurality of images of the sample, each of the plurality of images corresponding to at least one of a different region of the sample and a different time. The microscope is controlled via a control computer during the scanning. The plurality of images are analyzed using at least one second computer connected via a network. The plurality of images are classified and/or the scanning is influenced based on the analyzing.

Method and microscopic system for scanning a sample

An immersion objective for microscopic investigation of a specimen is provided wherein an outer lens is disposed in an objective body. A delivery device including a cap that is disposed over the objective body so as to form a space adapted to receive an immersion liquid is also provided. The cap is open in a region of the outer lens so as to form a gap with the outer lens. The cap includes at least one connector configured to provide a continuous supply of the immersion liquid to the space so that the immersion liquid emerges through the gap to a region between the outer lens and at least one of the specimen and a specimen slide.
