An electrostatic atomizer for liquids, in particular cosmetics, is proposed, at least comprising a housing, an electrical energy source, an activation mechanism, control electronics, a high-voltage source, a liquid tank, a delivery device and atomizer nozzles, the control electronics and the high-voltage source being arranged in an interior space of the housing. It is provided that the control electronics either comprise at least one sensor or comprise at least one transmitting and/or receiving module or comprise at least one sensor and at least one transmitting and/or receiving module.

A powder conveying device for coating powder includes a powder conveyor having a powder outlet duct and a powder outlet valve for opening or for closing the powder outlet duct. Additionally, a setpoint value generator for specify a setpoint opening period of the powder outlet valve, and a sensor for determining the actual opening period of the powder outlet valve are provided. The powder conveying device furthermore includes an evaluation unit for determining the deviation between the setpoint opening period and the actual opening period.

The invention relates to a method for controlling an electrostatic atomizer for liquids, the atomizer comprising a liquid tank and a delivery device for liquid from the liquid tank, a high-voltage source and also at least one atomizer nozzle for the atomization of liquid, the at least one atomizer nozzle being connected to the high-voltage source. Here, the voltage and/or the current intensity at at least one of the atomizer nozzles are detected by sensors of control electronics and/or the voltage and/or the current intensity at the high-voltage source are detected by sensors of the control electronics.

Method for controlling an electrostatic atomizer for liquids

The electrode holder for a powder spray gun operable at high voltage includes a powder channel and a web, arranged in the powder channel, for holding a high-voltage electrode. In addition, an annular groove arranged concentrically with the powder channel is provided and is open on the downstream side. A labyrinth for the high voltage is formed by the annular groove together with an annular web of a cap nut, the annular web protruding into the annular groove and said cap nut being used to lock the electrode holder.
