A fire-fighting virtual reality simulator allows the trainee to move in a virtual space in various complex virtual fire disaster situations and perform a suppression of a virtual fire and a confrontation training. An experience interactive simulator for providing a trainee with a floor movement that may occur in a fire disaster situation so that the trainee wearing HMD in a virtual fire-fighting training has the same sense of feeling as that in an actual fire-fighting training is provided. For the realistic content experience, a physical floor movement, such as tilting, falling, and shaking of the floor is reproduced using a base motion, thereby providing a floor movement that enables a sense of feeling similar to a fire disaster situation.

Realistic fire-fighting training simulator

A bidirectional display device may include: a first transparent display panel outputting a first image in a first direction and transmitting light reflected in a second direction that is an opposite direction of the first direction; a first transparent light panel disposed behind the first transparent display panel and providing light to the first transparent display panel; a transmittance control panel disposed behind the first transparent light panel; a second transparent display panel outputting a second image in the second direction and transmitting light reflected in the first direction; a second transparent light panel disposed between the transmittance control panel and the second transparent display panel and providing light to the second transparent display panel; a transmittance controller and controlling transmittance of at least one object included in the first image or the second image; and an image output controller controlling output of the first image and the second image.

Bidirectional display device and method of controlling same

There is provided a stereoscopic display system that can provide a high resolution, a wide field-of-view, and wearing comfort. The system includes an image generating device configured to display images and decrease a display area on which the images are displayed, an image transmission device configured to transmit the image displayed on the decreased display area, and an image output device configured to enlarge the transmitted image and output a mixed image in which the enlarged image and real-view information are mixed. Therefore, the invention can satisfy main requirements on, for example, resolution, field-of-view, weight, in HMD/FMD/EGD technology, and provide a natural immersive stereoscopic image.

Stereoscopic display system

A user interface design and evaluation system and a hand-interaction-based user interface design and evaluation system are provided. The user interface design and evaluation system includes: a user interface design unit, a human model interaction design unit, a user interface prototype simulation unit, a human model simulation unit, and a user interface evaluation unit. In order to develop a user interface in consideration of usability of a user, the system provides a usability evaluation feedback system performing optimization of an interface design based on a motion simulation of a body model and user interface model. Through this, an optimum interface design is derived and by reducing the initial usage difficulty of the new interface for a user, the user can easily use the new interface and work performance of the user can be enhanced. In addition, by supporting fast prototyping and evaluation in a new product development stage, efficient production of a product having a short life cycle can be actively implemented.

User interface design and evaluation system and hand interaction based user interface design and evaluation system

Provided is an apparatus and method for immediately creating and controlling a virtual reality interactive human body model for a user-centric interface. The apparatus and method can transform a whole body three-dimensional (3D) default model into a model close to the body of a user by collecting data from the user's hands, generates a user coincident 3D model by selecting a skin texture map and applying it to the transformed model, and controlling the user coincident 3D model in a deformable polygon mesh structure to naturally visualize the motion of the user coincident 3D model. The apparatus and method can make users participate in a virtual reality system conveniently and work naturally in the same manner as reality, i.e., interaction. The apparatus and method provides ordinary users with an easy access to virtual reality systems and overcomes the shortcomings of existing virtual reality systems which simply provide visual effects.
