A method and apparatus for event-based media playback. A media device infers one or more actionable events in a media content item using one or more neural network models and determines a respective start location for each of the actionable events in the media content item. The media device receives user input indicating a selection of one of the actionable events and selectively initiates playback of the media content item at the start location associated with the selected actionable event.

Event-based media playback

A method of dynamically adjusting a sensitivity of sensor electrodes configured for capacitive sensing in a sensing region of an input device. The input device detects a first input in the sensing region, and acquires force information about the first input via one or more force sensors coupled to the sensing region. The input device dynamically adjusts a sensitivity of the sensor electrodes based at least in part on an amplitude and duration of the force. In some aspects, the input device may increase the sensitivity of the sensor electrodes when a force of the first input exceeds a force threshold for at least a first threshold duration. In some other aspects, the input device may restore the sensitivity of the sensor electrodes to a prior configuration when no input is detected in the sensing region for at least a second threshold duration.

Dynamic proximity object detection

A processing system includes sensor circuitry and processing circuitry. The sensor circuitry is configured to be coupled to force sensor electrodes, and is configured to drive the force sensor electrodes to obtain capacitive measurements. The processing circuitry is operatively connected to the sensor circuitry and configured to aggregate the capacitive measurements into an aggregated measurement, and apply, to the aggregated measurement, a capacitive measurement to temperature mapping to obtain a current temperature of the force sensor electrodes.

Force calibration for temperature

In one embodiment, the present invention receives sensitivity data corresponding to a plurality of first sensor channels of a respective plurality of capacitive sensing devices and utilizes the sensitivity data to determine a range of expected variation pertaining to the plurality of first sensor channels. The range of expected variation has an upper and a lower limit. The present embodiment also relates the range of expected variation to a sensitivity value corresponding to one of the plurality of first sensor channels. The present embodiment determines at least one performance characteristic of the one of the plurality of first sensor channels near at least one of the upper limit and the lower limit. In this embodiment, the at least one performance characteristic enables the tuning of the plurality of first sensor channels of the respective plurality of capacitive sensing devices.
