A coating system for the decoration of a recyclable plastic substrate. The coating system includes a primer layer and a decorative layer. The primer layer includes at least one coating which is made from at least one coating material having 60 to 80 wt.-% of at least one difunctional, alcoxylated acrylate monomer, 5 to 15 wt.-% of at least one acrylate oligomer, 5 to 15 wt.-% of at least one of at least one carbonyl-functional acrylate and at least one methacrylate oligomer or 5 to 15 wt.-% of at least one of at least one polyethylene glycol acrylate and at least one polyethylene glycol methacrylate, and 1 to 10 wt.-% of at least one photoinitiator, each of which are based on a total weight of the coating material.

Recyclable coatings and use thereof for printing reusable plastics

A coating material for the production of a UV-curing primer coating. The coating material includes at least 60 to 90 wt.-% of at least one monofunctional cycloaliphatic acrylate monomer or at least one monofunctional aryloxy alkyl acrylate monomer, 1 to 10 wt.-% of at least one amino-functional silane, 1 to 10 wt.-% of at least one photoinitiator, and up to 10 wt.-% of at least one of at least one acrylate oligomer and at least one methacrylate oligomer, each based on a total weight of the coating material.

Compositions for producing glass coatings by way of inkjet printing techniques and use thereof

A coating material for the production of a UV-curing primer coating. There are several coatings and a method for surface finishing, in particular for producing durable and stable surface coatings using ink jet printing methods. The coating comprises a first layer, which can be produced from one or more ink jet-capable inks, and a second layer, which can be produced from one or more top coats, wherein at least the first layer is applied using an ink jet print head.

Coating and production method thereof by inkjet printing methods

A method for coating a surface of a structural component includes applying at least one ink to the surface of the structural component via an inkjet process. The at least one ink applied is irradiated with UV radiation so as to cure the at least one ink and to form an ink-containing layer. At least one metal layer is applied to the ink-containing layer via a PVD procedure. At least one clear lacquer is applied to the at least one metal layer. The at least one clear lacquer is cured so as to form a clear lacquer layer.

Method for producing coating systems containing metal layers for finishing plastic surfaces

An inkjet ink which is electron beam curable includes 10 to 40 wt.-% of at least one oligomer based on a total weight of the inkjet ink, 5 to 25 wt.-% of at least one reactive thinner based on the total weight of the inkjet ink, 25 to 84 wt.-% of a solvent mixture comprising at least two solvents based on the total weight of the inkjet ink, and 1 to 15 wt.-% of at least one pigment based on the total weight of the inkjet ink. The at least two solvents have a boiling point of from 50 to 300&#xb0; C., a dielectricity constant of from 5 to 20, and an evaporation rate of 3 to 5000. The evaporation rate of the at least two solvents differs by a factor of from 2 to 10. The inkjet ink is free from photoinitiators.
