The present invention relates to a method, a computer program with instructions, and a device for generating a display of an augmented reality head-up display for a motor vehicle. In a first step, a position of the motor vehicle is determined. A plurality of virtual elements for a navigation hint is then provided on the basis of the position of the motor vehicle. The virtual elements, as seen from the motor vehicle, extend on both sides in a lateral direction to outside a field of view of the augmented reality head-up display. Finally, at least that virtual element which has the shortest distance to a center of the field of view is rendered.

Generating a display of an augmented reality head-up display for a motor vehicle

The disclosure relates to a device for the improved visualization of a notice in a motor vehicle. A contact-analog head-up display places information in direct contact with the environment. In contrast to conventional head-up displays, the information appears as part of the environment. The assistance system sets the threshold value according to the dimensions of the vehicle and the dimensions of the parking space.
