The present disclosure relates to a cannabidiol compound and compositions thereof and processes for preparing the compound and compositions. The processes include an acid-catalyzed reaction of a suitably selected and substituted di-bromo-olivetol or derivative thereof with a suitably selected and substituted cyclic alkene to produce a dibromo-cannabidiol compound or derivative thereof. The dibromo-cannabidiol compound or derivative thereof can be produced in high yield, high stereospecificity, or both. It can then be converted under reducing conditions to a cannabidiol compound or derivatives thereof.

Process for the production of cannabidiol and delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol

The present disclosure relates to N-demethylation of a compound containing a tertiary N-methylamine, including for example a morphinan alkaloid, in a continuous flow system. In particular, the present disclosure relates to N-demethylation of oxymorphone-3,14-diacetate or 14-hydroxymorphinone-3,14-diacetate using highly active catalytic palladium (0) in a continuous flow system under elevated temperature and pressure condition. The methodology can be utilized towards the synthesis of noroxymorphone via aerobic palladium-catalyzed continuous flow N-demethylation.

N-demethylation of morphinan alkaloids

The present disclosure relates to the preparation of a cannabidiol compound or a derivative thereof. The cannabidiol compound or derivatives thereof can be prepared by an acid-catalyzed reaction of a suitably selected and substituted di-halo-olivetol or derivative thereof with a suitably selected and substituted cyclic alkene to produce a dihalo-cannabidiol compound or derivative thereof. The dihalo-cannabidiol compound or derivative thereof can be produced in high yield, high stereospecificity, or both. It can then be converted under reducing conditions to a cannabidiol compound or derivatives thereof.

The present invention provides processes and intermediates for the preparation of 3-benzazepines and salts thereof which can be useful as serotonin (5-HT) receptor agonists for the treatment of, for example, central nervous system disorders such as obesity.

Process for the preparation of N-methylnaltrexone bromide, wherein a compound of the general formula (I): whereinXrepresents an anion other than the bromide anion, and R represents hydrogen or a leaving group, is dissolved or dispersed in a suitable polar solvent, the solution or dispersion is mixed with a compound containing bromide anions, and the resulting reaction mixture is stirred until N-methylnaltrexone bromide has formed and crystallized, wherein, in the case where R represents a leaving group, that group is removed during or after the reaction.

Process for purifying noroxymorphone compounds

The invention relates to a method for obtaining pure tetrahydrocannabinol from reaction mixtures containing tetrahydrocannabinol compounds or from raw products containing tetrahydrocannabinol compounds. According to said method, the tetrahydrocannabinol compounds in the reaction mixture or in the raw product are converted into crystallisable derivatives, preferably using a suitable solvent, said derivatives are then crystallised and isolated, and the pure tetrahydrocannabinol compounds are then obtained from the crystallised derivatives.
