A motor vehicle door lock which is equipped with a motor vehicle lock having a locking mechanism that is mounted in a lock case and consists substantially of a rotary latch and a locking pawl. Furthermore, a lock striker that interacts with the locking mechanism is provided, as well as an opener that engages the lock striker during an opening process of an associated motor vehicle door. The opener is acted upon by means of an opening device, at least part of which is integrated in the motor vehicle lock. According to the invention, the opening device is also designed to lift the locking pawl off the rotary latch.

Motor vehicle door lock

A motor-vehicle door lock, which is equipped with a locking mechanism, comprising a rotary latch and at least one pawl, and with a closing drive and an opening drive for the locking mechanism. The rotary latch can be transferred into an overtravel position by means of the closing drive. According to the invention, in order to open the locking mechanism, the rotary latch is held in the overtravel position by means of the closing drive. In this way, the opening drive can open the pawl and subsequently the closing drive can travel back when the locking mechanism is open.

Motor-vehicle door lock

A motor vehicle door lock, more particularly a hood lock. The basic structure of the hood lock is composed of a raising mechanism, for a locking bolt or another stop part, on a hood. An actuating spring acting on the raising mechanism is also provided, in addition to a sensor for sensing the position of the hood. According to the invention, an additional spring is provided which raises the hood if the actuating spring breaks down and/or malfunctions.

Motor vehicle door lock, more particularly hood lock

A closing aid for a motor-vehicle lock enables fast opening for a lock having a rotary latch. The rotary latch is latched by at least one pawl in a preliminary latching position and in a main latching position. The closing aid comprises a motor, by which the rotary latch is moved by motor force from the preliminary latching position into the main latching position such that an associated door or flap of a motor vehicle can be closed. The closing aid has a movable closing pawl for closing by motor force. By the motion of the closing pawl by the motor from an initial position into an end position along a first path, the rotary latch is brought from the preliminary latching position into the main latching position. The return motion of the closing pawl from the end position into the initial position occurs along a different, second path.

The invention relates to a lock for a motor vehicle with a locking mechanism including a catch and a pawl. The object of the invention is to simplify the locking of a lock of the type mentioned above. To achieve the object of the invention, a catch of the claimed lock comprises a stop projecting upwards, e.g., in the form of a pin extending from the catch. Furthermore, a bracket is provided, which can be moved against the stop by means of a motor such that the catch is moved in this way from the first position and into the primary position.
