A wheel carrier for a two-track motor vehicle including a wheel-side carrier part, which carries a vehicle wheel; an axle-side guide part; axle-side rotary parts arranged between the wheel-side carrier part and the axle-side guide part and supported on a common bearing site for rotation relative to each other about a rotation axis by respective rotation angles, wherein the carrier part is pivotable about the rotation axis about a pivot point for toe and/or camber adjustment of the vehicle wheel by rotation of at least one of the rotary parts by the respective rotation angle into a rotary position, which correlates with a toe and/or camber angle of the vehicle wheel, wherein the toe and/or camber angle being arbitrarily adjustable within a toe and/or camber angular range. The wheel carrier further includes at least one movement stop adapted for limiting the toe and/or camber angular range of the vehicle wheel.

Wheel carrier for a two-track motor vehicle

A device for adjusting camber and/or toe of a vehicle wheel of a motor vehicle, includes a wheel carrier including a wheel-side carrier part, an axle-side guide part and rotary parts arranged between the wheel-side carrier part and the axle-side guide part, the rotary parts being supported on a common bearing site for rotation relative to each other about a rotation axis, the wheel-side carrier part being rotatable about said rotation axis about an instantaneous center of rotation for toe or camber adjustment of the vehicle wheel and supporting a brake caliper interacting with a brake disc of the vehicle wheel; and a torque bridge configured as a torque transmission element which supports the wheel-side carrier part on the axle-side guide part when a braking moment acts on the wheel-side carrier part during a braking process, and which when supporting the wheel-side carrier part on the axle-side guide part generates a directed force component with which the wheel-side carrier part is impingable.

Device for adjusting camber and/or toe of a vehicle wheel

A motor vehicle includes a steering wheel for steering front wheels of the motor vehicle, an actuator for automatically steering rear wheels of the motor vehicle, and a control device storing at least two different characteristic curve fields relating to the position of the rear wheels in relation to the position of the front wheels for controlling the actuator. The control device selects one of the two characteristic curve fields depending on a parameter relating to the position of the steering wheel or a change in the position of the steering wheel. When driving the motor vehicle in reverse, the actuator reversibly and continuously adjusts the rear wheels between a steering position that is identical to a steering position of the front wheels and a steering position that is opposite to the steering position of the front wheels.

In a method for determining the drawbar length of a trailer of a tractor vehicle with a front-axle steering system for adjusting a front-axle steering angle and optionally additionally a rear-axle steering system for setting a rear-axle steering angle, an estimated value for the drawbar length is determined with an estimation method from an articulation angle, as detected by a sensor, between the trailer and the tractor vehicle on the basis of the front-axle steering angle and optionally the rear-axle steering angle, and the movement variables speed and yaw rate of the tractor vehicle.
