A heat exchanger, in particular exhaust-gas cooler, is described herein. The heat exchanger includes tubes of unipartite form or formed from two plates. The tubes form a first and a second fluid duct, and the respective fluid ducts are arranged adjacent to one another. The first fluid duct is designed to be open at at least one of its ends for the inflow and/or outflow of a first fluid. The second fluid ducts are closed at an end side of the tubes by way of an inward or outward step. The step has a greater extent T in the tube longitudinal direction in the corner regions of the tube than between the corner regions. Several non-limiting descriptive embodiments are disclosed herein.

Plate type heat exchanger for exhaust gas

The invention relates to a heat exchanger, in particular exhaust-gas cooler or charge-air cooler, comprising a plate stack composed of multiple elongate plate pairs, wherein in each case two interconnected plates form a first fluid duct between them, and a second fluid duct is formed between two plate pairs, wherein the plates of a plate pair are of U-shaped form with a bottom and upturned side walls and lie against one another so as to delimit the first flow duct, wherein one of the plates of a plate pair has, on its end side, a tab which serves for beading over around the end side of the other plate, wherein the tab on the bottom of the plate is beaded over, and the beading-over of the tab also continues into the side walls of the plates.

Heat exchanger

The invention relates to a heat exchanger comprising a block of first and second flow channels arranged adjacently to one another, said block being designed to be open at one inflow side and at one outflow side of the first flow channels for the inflow and outflow of a first fluid into or out of said first flow channels, and the second flow channels comprising openings for the inflow and outflow of a second fluid, said block consisting of a first element and a second element, each of these forming second flow channels and a side wall, and these elements being joined together such that the two side walls form block side walls which lie opposite one another, said second flow channels extending between these side walls and forming first flow channels between themselves and the side walls.

The invention relates to a heat exchanger having a tube bundle with tubes as heat exchanger matrix, it being possible for the tubes to be flowed through by a first fluid and in this way defining a first fluid channel, and to be flowed around by a second fluid and in this way defining a second fluid channel, the tube bundle being configured so as to be closed off toward the outside, in order to close off the second fluid channel, or being arranged in a housing, in order to close off the second fluid channel, the tubes being configured so as to be open on the end side for the inflow or outflow of the first fluid.

A cooling system of a motor vehicle may include a coolant circuit including an exhaust-gas recirculation path and an exhaust-gas recirculation cooler arranged therein. A pressure detection device may be provided for detecting a coolant pressure in the coolant circuit. An actuating device may be connected communicatively to the pressure deduction device. A valve device may be connected communicatively to the actuating device and configured to control an exhaust-gas stream passing into the cooler. The actuating device may be configured to at least partially close the valve device and reduce the exhaust-gas stream flowing to the cooler in response to the pressure detection device detecting a predefined pressure drop.

Cooling system of a motor vehicle

The present invention relates to a heat exchanger for controlling the temperature of a first fluid using a second fluid, wherein the heat exchanger has a base for separating the first fluid from the second fluid, said base having a sealing region. Furthermore, the heat exchanger has a partition for separating the first fluid from the second fluid, wherein the at least one partition is connected in a fluid-tight manner to the base, wherein the at least one partition forms a fluid duct for the first fluid. Furthermore, the heat exchanger has a housing. In the sealing region between the base and the housing, there is arranged a sealing element which is pressed in a fluid-tight manner against the base and against the housing.

Heat exchanger for controlling the temperature of a first fluid using a second fluid

A heat exchanger, in particular an exhaust gas cooler or charge air cooler, is provided that includes a plate stack which has a plurality of elongated plate pairs, each set of two interconnected plates forming a respective second fluid channel between themselves, and a first fluid channel being formed between two plate pairs, a first fluid channel being surrounded by two second fluid channels, each second fluid channel being connected to at least one manifold.

A heat exchanger, particularly an exhaust gas heat exchanger, for transferring heat in two stages between a first fluid and second and third fluids that have different temperatures includes a block for separately conducting the first and second and third fluids in a heat transferring manner. The block encompasses a number of ducts through which the first fluid can flow, a first chamber of a high-temperature part through which the second fluid can flow and which accommodates the ducts, a second chamber of a low-temperature part through which the third fluid flows and which accommodates the ducts, and a housing in which the first and second chamber as well as the ducts are arranged. Cooling system for a motor vehicle

The invention relates to a heat exchanger with at least one duct, which can be flowed through by flowing medium from an inlet cross-section to an outlet cross-section, has an inside and outside, and which comprises, on the inside, structural elements for increasing the transfer of heat. An exhaust gas system for an internal combustion engine includes an intake system and an exhaust outlet interconnected by an exhaust gas recirculation line having an exhaust treatment unit and a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger has a first back pressure and the exhaust treatment unit has a second back pressure, smaller than the first back pressure. The exhaust treatment unit is disposed at such a first distance from the heat exchanger in flow direction that, during operation, a gas flow entering the exhaust treatment unit is homogenized. The exhaust gas system permits an advantageous configuration of a heat exchanger and an exhaust treatment unit, such as for example a honeycomb body in the exhaust gas recirculation line, in which both the heat exchanger and the exhaust treatment unit can have a smaller structure than in conventional systems. This reduces costs considerably for equipping such a system.

A device for cooling exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine comprises a plurality of flow ducts which are connected to an exhaust gas recirculation system of the internal combustion engine, a heat exchanger for a coolant to flow around the flow ducts in order to dissipate the exhaust gas heat, and an insert' which is arranged within at least one of the flow ducts. The insert&#x2032; is in thermal contact with the flow duct such that the exhaust gas flows at least partially around the insert. The insert&#x2032; has profiled fins&#x2032;, with profiles&#x2032; which are successive in the flow direction of the exhaust gas being arranged so as to be laterally offset relative to one another.
