An embodiment of the invention relates to a cooling system for an imaging apparatus having a gantry for cooling components arranged in the gantry, including a fan and a solid body. The solid body has an inlet opening, and an outlet opening, wherein the inlet opening is larger than the outlet opening. The solid body also has a positive guide, defined by a continuous outer boundary, for a first fluid from the inlet opening to the outlet opening, which continuously transforms the geometry of the inlet opening into the geometry of the outlet opening and defines a flow path for the first fluid, and has a flow channel for a second fluid, which is arranged in heat exchange communication with the flow path, and has an inlet and an outlet for the second fluid.

Cooling system for an imaging apparatus having a gantry

The embodiments relate to a CT system with a stationary part and a rotatable part, which is supported rotatably in the stationary part. At least one x-ray tube unit cooled by a cooling fluid, an x-ray detector lying opposite the x-ray tube unit, and a cooling device coupled in terms of fluid technology to the x-ray tube unit via a coolant circuit are disposed in the rotatable part. A cooling air channel, through which cooling air is able to be fed into the rotatable part, and an exhaust air channel, through which heated exhaust air is able to be taken away from the rotatable part, are disposed in the stationary part. In accordance with the embodiments, at least one overpressure relief valve is disposed in the coolant circuit, through which the cooling fluid is able to be conveyed away in the exhaust air channel.

CT system

A CT system is disclosed for generating tomographic recordings of an examination object. In an embodiment, the CT system includes at least a gantry with a rotatable support for receiving components of the CT system, and a cooling system for cooling the components secured to the gantry with at least one air duct. In at least one embodiment, an incoming-air duct of the cooling system is divided into at least two segments to ensure uniform pressure distribution in the incoming-air duct.

An x-ray radiator has a radiator housing from which x-ray radiation originating from a focus is emitted. A pre-diaphragm is disposed in the beam path of the x-ray radiation and has a diaphragm opening in or on the radiator housing. The pre-diaphragm is provided with at least one additional slit through which x-ray radiation can strike on at least one element for determination of the position of the focus. This element is sensitive to x-ray radiation. An x-ray device has such an x-ray radiator and a computed tomography apparatus has such an x-ray device.

An x-ray computed tomography apparatus has an x-ray source that can be rotated around a system axis and a diaphragm that is disposed downstream from the x-ray source in the ray propagation direction for gating a fan-shaped ray beam that irradiates a subject. The diaphragm has two gating elements in each of which an absorber element is held, clamped on a carrier at two points in a clamping device provided on the carrier.

A fastening device for a diaphragm for x-ray radiation has a base plate provided with an opening for the passage of x-ray radiation, the base plate being able to accommodate load forces, and at least one covering device which can be arranged for enclosure of a space on the base plate. A diaphragm can be housed in the space. A computer tomography apparatus embodies such a fastening device for a diaphragm.
