A drive carriage for a transport device, which drive carriage has an undercarriage, by means of which the drive carriage is movable along a drive rail. The drive carriage has a frame structure connected to the undercarriage, a slide supported by the frame structure and at least one driver which is coupleable to the transport device. The slide and the driver are mounted so as to be displaceable in relation to the frame structure. In addition, a transport system with such a drive carriage and with at least one transport device for an item to be transported is specified, in which the transport device is supported by at least one supporting carriage and the transport device has a driver which is coupleable to the driver of the drive carriage.

A device for drying work pieces, in particular vehicle wheels, having a dryer housing which borders a dryer chamber and has at least one access to the dryer chamber. Work piece carriers loaded with work pieces can be conveyed through the dryer chamber by a conveyance system. There is a transfer device which transfers work pieces to be dried to a work piece carrier located in the dryer chamber, and removes dried work pieces by a work piece carrier located in the dryer chamber. The work piece carriers can be conveyed in circulation through the dryer chamber without leaving same. A method for drying work pieces, wherein the work piece carriers are correspondingly conveyed through the dryer chamber without leaving same, wherein work pieces to be dried are transferred to a work piece carrier located in the dryer chamber and dried work pieces are removed by a work piece carrier located in the dryer chamber.

Device and method for drying work pieces

In a device for transferring vehicle wheels, an individual vehicle wheel can be gripped by a gripping module having at least one gripping unit which is supported by a frame structure and includes multiple pressing elements that can be pressed against one or more mating surfaces of an individual vehicle wheel. A first gripping module and a second gripping module are mounted on a common rigid support structure which can be rotated about a main axis of rotation by a rotating mechanism. Furthermore, the pressing elements move with a movement component running parallel to the main axis of rotation.

Device for transferring vehicle wheels

A spindle conveyor for conveying workpieces, in particular vehicle wheels, having a rail system that includes at least one support rail. Multiple conveyor carriages have a chassis that can be moved on the support rail in a conveying direction and a supporting device for workpieces which is entrained by the chassis. Each workpiece can be mounted on a workpiece spindle which is part of the supporting device which has a pair of workpiece spindles mounted so as to be rotatable as a unit relative to the chassis about a vertical axis of rotation and can be moved at least into a first rotational position and a second rotational position. Also a station for treating workpieces, in particular vehicle wheels, with such a spindle conveyor which allows the workpieces to be conveyed through the station.

In a spindle conveyor for conveying workpieces, in particular vehicle wheels, there is a rail system which includes at least one supporting rail. A plurality of transport carriages each have a chassis that is able to move on the supporting rail in a transporting direction and a carrying device for workpieces carried along by the chassis. The carrying device includes at least one workpiece spindle for receiving the workpiece and which is pivotable, at least in a particular section of the spindle conveyor, between a conveying position and a particular position different from the conveying position wherein the workpiece spindle is tilted in the particular position with respect to a vertical plane (V) which extends parallel to the transporting direction. Also, a plant for treating workpieces having such a spindle conveyor which conveys the workpieces through the plant.
