The invention refers to a device for the negative pressure wound therapy comprising a cover material for the air-tight sealing of the wound and the wound surroundings; a means suitable for the generation of a negative pressure in the wound area, preferably a means for the functional connection of the wound area with a negative pressure source outside of the cover material in such a way that a negative pressure can be generated in the wound area and fluids can be drawn out of the wound area by suction; and a wound dressing, whereby the wound dressing contains an open-cell foam on the basis of a cross-linked polyorganosiloxane. The invention also refers to the use of open-cell foam on the basis of a cross-linked polyorganosiloxane for use in the negative pressure wound therapy, in particular in patients with a BMI of less than 18.

The present invention relates to a bandage for use in negative-pressure wound therapy, more particularly for wounds in the abdominal region, comprising a flexible film as a wound contact layer and at least one conduit applied to the film, wherein the conduit communicates with the wound space through openings in the conduit and in the film.

Wound dressing for negative-pressure therapy

A device for negative pressure wound therapy having a cover material for air-tight sealing of the wound space connected to a negative pressure source; and a wound dressing having an open-cell polyurethane foam. The open-cell polyurethane foam has special properties, in particular a tensile strength after three days of storage in bovine serum, measured in accordance with DIN 53571, between 80 kPa and 300 kPa. The open-cell polyurethane foam may be used as a wound dressing in negative pressure wound therapy.
