A vessel is disclosed, the vessel including a main body having a hollow interior for receiving a fluid therein, wherein at least a portion of the hollow interior includes a filling material disposed therein to minimize a rate of flow of the fluid from the main body, wherein the filling material is at least one of a porous structured material and a granulate material.

Various embodiments of a gas storage and supply system and its operation processes having pre-selected temperature and pressure limits are disclosed. Various temperature and pressure profiles may be used to supply stored gas to a gas consuming device.

Method of operating gas storage and supply system

A process for producing borazane from boron-nitrogen and boron-nitrogen-hydrogen containing BNH-waste products. The process includes reacting the BNH-waste products with a hydrogen halide, having the formula HX, wherein X is selected from the group consisting of F, Cl, Br, I, and combinations thereof, to form any of the following: a boron trihalide, having the formula BX, an ammonium halide, having the formula NHX, and hydrogen. The boron trihalide is then reacted with the hydrogen to form diborane, having the formula BH, and hydrogen halide. The ammonium halide is then converted to ammonia, having the formula NH, and hydrogen halide. The diborane is then reacted with the ammonia to form borazane, having the formula BHNH.

Procedure for the hydrogenation of BNH-containing compounds

A gas storage system that stores a gas by cryo-adsorption on high surface materials. The gas storage system includes an outer container having insulated walls and a plurality of pressure vessels disposed therein. Each of the pressure vessels includes a high surface material. A manifold assembly distributes the gas under pressure to the pressure vessels where the gas is adsorbed by cryo-adsorption using the high surface materials. A cooling fluid is provided within voids between the pressure vessels to remove heat as the pressure vessels are being filled with the gas.

Hydrogen storage tank system based on gas adsorption on high-surface materials comprising an integrated heat exchanger

A flexible, high pressure, tubular storage vessel for storing and dispensing a compressed gas. The vessel has a gas impermeable inner core member comprising a flexible material and defining an inner diameter of a fluid-carrying channel adapted to store the compressed gas. A flexible reinforcing material is circumferentially disposed about the inner core member. The flexible reinforcing material is surrounded by an air-tight gas barrier wrapping defining an outer diameter. The vessel is configured to be coiled or shaped having a plurality of bends. The bend areas may have a variable inner diameter and are preferably provided with additional reinforcing material.

Tube shaped high pressure storage tank

A cryogenic gas storage system for optimal desorption of adsorbed gases, wherein a gas storage material is subjected to enhanced, ample selected recirculation of gas of the same type as the adsorbed gas, at suitable temperature and pressure, so as to supply of heat energy to the material and thereby provide optimal desorption of the gas. Output gas is heated by ambient heat or dissipation heat utilizing at least one heat exchanger. A portion of the output gas goes to a gas consumer, the remainder is fed back to the container.

Fuel supply system with a gas adsorption device

An apparatus for selectively adsorbing gas during adsorption processes and desorbing gas during desorption processes. A tube has a porous sidewall, and at each end is an end-fitting sealingly connected thereto. A particulate porous gas storage material is located within the tube, wherein the porosity prevents the material, but allows gases, to pass therethrough. A selected gas from a porous inner tube, a heating coil, or a heat exchanger located within the tube may provide heat for the desorption processes, and the selected gas or heat exchanger may provide cooling during the adsorption processes.

Apparatus for optimal adsorption and desorption of gases utilizing highly porous gas storage materials

A hydrogen-based propulsion system is provided for storing hydrogen feed gas which evaporates over time from a storage vessel containing liquid hydrogen as a fuel. In particular, this system enables the evaporated hydrogen feed gas to be stored for later use in the propulsion unit and also provides a system for enabling the stored hydrogen gas to be cooled by evaporated hydrogen feed gas in transit to the propulsion unit.
