A communication terminal, in particular an eCall terminal. The terminal comprises a communication unit and an interface for communication of the terminal with communication networks. The terminal comprises a determination unit for determining in which communication network the terminal is located. The terminal comprises a database in which communication network related data for a number of different communication networks are stored and in which said communication network related data are linked to paging channels of the respective communications networks. The terminal further comprises a scanning unit for scanning paging channels and an evaluation unit for evaluating information received via a paging channel. In addition the present invention relates to a method of scanning paging channel and to a method for activation of a communication terminal.

Communication terminal

A method of providing a secure element of a mobile terminal with a subscription profile in which the mobile terminal is configured to communicate with a cellular communications network and the subscription profile comprises a network specific portion related to the cellular communications network or a different cellular communications network as well as a hardware specific portion related to the hardware of the mobile terminal and/or the secure element. The method comprises the steps of: assembling the subscription profile, wherein the network specific portion of the subscription profile is provided by a first server and the hardware specific portion of the subscription profile is provided by a second server; and providing the subscription profile over-the-air to the secure element. A corresponding secure element, mobile terminal and subscription management backend system involves features of the method.

Methods and devices for OTA subscription management

Method of controlling a gateway regarding the communication flow being or to be processed through the gateway. The gateway is assigned to a first communication network that includes a media plane with at least one communication channel to which the gateway is linked, and a control plane, with at least one signaling channel to which a control device is linked. The control device is adapted to controlling the gateway. The method includes that inside a receiver device which is assigned to the first communication network a request for controlling the gateway is received. The request is received from an external third party device. By use of an influence device which, in particular, is assigned to the first communication network, the control device is influenced according to the request and the influenced control device controls the gateway regarding the communication flow being or to be processed through said gateway.
