A drive mechanism for a medication delivery device containing a resilient member and having a rotation member configured to be rotated in a first direction during setting of a dose of a medication and to be rotated in a second direction during delivery of the dose, where the rotation member is coupled to a drive member that is coupled to a piston rod such that on dose delivery the piston rod is displaced in a distal direction to dispense a medicament and where the resilient member prevents movement of the drive member and the piston rod during dose setting.

An assembly for a drug delivery device includes a housing, a rotation member, a drive member and at least one correction member. In a delivery mode, the drive member and the rotation member are coupled such that the drive member follows rotational movement of the rotation member in a first rotational direction. In a correction mode, the rotation member and the drive member are decoupled such that the rotation member is rotatable in the first rotational direction with respect to the drive member. For switching from the delivery mode into the correction mode, the correction member is moveable with respect to the housing, wherein the assembly is configured such that movement of the correction member with respect to the housing is converted into a relative movement between the drive member and the rotation member for decoupling the drive member and the rotation member.

Assembly for a drug delivery device and drug delivery device

A drive mechanism for a medication delivery device is presented having a housing, a rotation member that rotates in a first direction with respect to the housing during setting of a dose of a medication and rotates in a second direction with respect to the housing during delivery of the dose, the second direction being opposite to the first direction. The device also has a piston rod that is displaced in a distal direction with respect to the housing for delivering the dose, a drive member which follows rotational movement of the rotation member in the second direction during delivery of the dose, and a stop member which prevents rotational movement of the drive member with respect to the housing in the first direction during setting of the dose.

An assembly for a drug delivery device comprises a housing, a rotation member, a drive member and at least one correction member. The rotation member is adapted to be rotated with respect to the housing in a first rotational direction for delivering a dose of a drug. The drive member is coupleable to the rotation member for delivering the dose. A medicament delivery device comprises a housing, a holder within the housing for receiving a medicament cartridge, a piston rod for driving a bung of the medicament cartridge, a drive mechanism including a motor for providing an output drive to the piston rod for delivering the medicament and control means for controlling operation of the device. The device is additionally provided with a bung sensor for sensing when the piston rod is in contact with the bung and the control means is operative for advancing the drive of the piston rod towards the bung.
