An apparatus for a thermal treatment of a textile web includes at least one drum with a perforated casing surface around which a material web can be at least partially wrapped, at least one connecting element, and a patterning shell with a plurality of openings separated by ridges fitted onto the casing of the drum. The patterning shell includes at least two segments detachably connected with aid of the at least one connecting element. The at least one connecting element is arranged on or integrated into a ridge.

Apparatus for the thermal treatment of a textile web

The invention relates to an apparatus for compacting a material web made of fibers and/or filaments, comprising a first revolving endless belt which carries the material web and is tensioned around guide rollers, and a second endless belt which is tensioned around guide rollers and revolves counter to the first belt at the same speed, wherein the first and second endless belts form a conical compacting region in a first region in the conveying direction of the material web and run at an angle with respect to each other, whereby the material web located between the belts is increasingly pressed, wherein subsequent to the first region a first nozzle beam is disposed for a first fluid application onto the material web still located between the two endless belts, wherein the two belts in this region of the first fluid application are in each case guided to run in a tensioned manner in a straight direction. According to the invention, the following is provided: the two belts () are guided in the region of the first fluid application (D,W,A) such that they do not run parallel to each other, or: the two belts () are guided in the region of the first fluid application (D,W,A) such that they run parallel to each other in a first section (AB) and not parallel to each other in a subsequent second section (AB).

Apparatus for compacting a fiber web

The invention relates to a water bar comprising nozzle parts for a suction chamber to apply jets to fabrics, knitted fabric webs, or nonwoven fabrics copoosed of staple fibers, endless filaments, or cellulose fibers, also in several layers, or mixtures thereof, and a suction area which is located on the bottom side of the suction chamber and is used for sucking off spraying water. The aim of the invention is to largely prevent spraying water or spraying mist in the region of the water jet that is discharged from the water jet beam. Said aim is achieved by assigning an air supplying device to the water bar and/or the suction chamber, said air supplying device being provided with at least one outlet which is located in the region of the water bar and extends to the region of the nozzle ports of the water bar.

Suction chamber for a water bar used for applying jets to fabrics

A fiber laminate is made by providing a core layer of absorptive fiber material between two outer carrier layers to form a three-layer laminate. This three-layer laminate is then directly juxtaposed with a rigid template formed with an array of throughgoing holes separated by webs. Water jets are then directed at the three-layer laminate juxtaposed with the template to drive the fibers of the core layer out from between the carrier layers at the webs and to hydroentangle the outer layers directly with each other at the webs while leaving the core layer generally intact between the webs at the holes.

Method of making a fiber laminate

The invention relates to an apparatus for producing textiles, nonwoven substances, spun-bonded fabrics or paper materials () with the aid of at least one screen drum () having openings () for transporting away the fluid () which is output from a water bar () and having numerous outwardly directed elevations () which are situated on the outside of the screen drum () for the perforation of the nonwoven (). The invention is based on the object of providing an apparatus which makes it possible, during the water conversion and at the same time as the perforation, also to make patterns in the nonwoven without influencing the strengthening substantially in the process. The object has been achieved in that one or a plurality of regions () on the outer side of the screen drum () does/do not have any elevations () but only openings ().

Apparatus for producing textiles, nonwoven substances, spunbond fabrics, paper materials, and/or perforated films

A suction apparatus for a water beam that directs a liquid jet at a passing a fabric web workpiece has a suction chamber extending transversely adjacent the jet and having a perforated lower wall sloping downward away from an upper region close to the water beam and a lower region remote therefrom. Air is withdrawn from inside the chamber to aspirate spray from adjacent the jet through the perforated lower wall.
