A compound of formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The compound is useful for use in the treatment of cancer, an inflammatory disorder, an autoimmunity disorder or a neurodegenerative disorder. 

Imidazo[2,1-B]thiazole and 5,6-dihydroimidazo[2,1-B]thiazole derivatives useful as S100-inhibitors

A compound of formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound. The compound is an inhibitor of interactions between S100A9 and interaction partners such as RAGE, TLR4 and EMMPRIN and as such is useful in the treatment of disorders such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, inflammatory disorders and neurodegenerative disorders.

Compounds of formula (I) for clinical treatment of autoimmune diseases, inflammatory diseases, organ transplant rejection and malignant neoplasia. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of formula (I) in an amount giving a daily dosage of from 0.005 mg/kg to 10 mg/kg body weight, in particular from 0.025 mg/kg to 2 mg/kg body weight.

Compounds, methods for their preparation and use thereof

A method of preparing dinitromethane salts usable as intermediate products add starting material for production of explosives and propellants. Substituted 1,2-diazoles, 1,2,4 -triazoles or 1,3-diazines, such as barbituric acid, are nitrated to obtain a gem-dinitro group on a carbon atom in the heterocyclic ring. The product is hydrolysed to split off dinitromethane which is neutralised with a neutralising agent to obtain a corresponding salt of dinitromethane.
