The invention relates to a catalytically active porous element and to a method of manufacturing same. The element is formed with at least 40% by mass cobalt and at least one further chemical element and/or at least one chemical compound which form a matrix into which particles of pure cobalt, of a cobalt alloy or of an intermetallic phase formed with cobalt are embedded. In this respect, the at least one chemical element and/or the at least one chemical compound have a lower sintering temperature and/or melting temperature than cobalt, the respective cobalt alloy or the intermetallic phase. Solely for this purpose or in addition thereto, cobalt can be partially soluble therein and/or can form a eutectic and/or a peritectic together with cobalt.

Catalytically active porous element and method of manufacturing same

In a method of manufacturing open-cell bodies, individual parts of an open pore plastic in a size which corresponds to the size of the bodies to be manufactured while taking account of the shrinkage on a sintering or an open pore plastic element having predetermined break points which take account of the size and geometrical design of bodies to be manufactured are/is in filtrated and coated with a suspension in which at least one powdery material is contained. Organic components are expelled after a first heat treatment. Subsequently, a sintering is carried out. Parts of porous plastic provided with the suspension are separated before the first heat treatment or wherein, afterwards the open-cell element which is obtained from the plastic element from the material with which the bodies are formed is cut by forces and thereby separated bodies can be obtained.

Method of manufacturing open-cell bodies and bodies manufactured using said method

Described is a wear-resistant roller component for handling abrasive materials where the component comprises a metal body with at least one surface. It is characterized in that a metal template having a pattern of through-going holes is arranged on the at least one surface of the metal body and in that a cover arranged to cover at least a part of the metal template is located at a distance from the metal template to form a gap between the cover and the metal template and in that a powder material suitable for sintering is introduced into the through-going holes in the metal template through the gap and in that the metal body, the metal template, the cover and the material powder are bonded together by means of a sintering process.

Method for producing a wear-resistant roller component
