A cutting unit for providing transversal cuts and/or perforations to a string of packaging containers connected by transversal seals is provided. The cutting unit comprises a knife assembly and an anvil assembly rotatable against each other to form a nip for receiving a transversal seal of the string of packaging containers. The anvil assembly comprises an anvil blade having a first region and a second region such that when the first region is aligned with a knife blade of the knife assembly at the nip a cut is produced, and when the second region is aligned with the knife blade at the nip a perforation is produced. A method, a computer program and a computer-readable medium storing the computer program for providing transversal cuts and/or perforations to a string of packaging containers connected by transversal seals are also described.

Cutting unit

The disclosure relates to a filling machine () for filling a package () of a web of packaging material with a food product. The filling machine () comprises a jaw system () adapted to seal the package () after being filled with the food product. The jaw system () is equipped with means () for providing a unique mark () on the package (). The filling machine () further comprises a sensor () arranged downstream of the jaw system () which is adapted to detect the mark () on the package (), and a cutting knife () adapted to cut the package () from the web of packaging material. The cutting knife () is movably arranged in the filling machine (), such that the cutting knife () can be adjusted in relation to the package () based on the detected mark () before cutting the package () from the web of packaging material. The disclosure also relates to a method for filling a package () of a web of packaging material with a food product.

The invention relates to a sealing device () and a method for heat sealing packaging material for producing sealed packages. The invention also relates to a filling machine. The sealing device () comprises a first jaw () comprising an electromagnet (), and a second jaw () comprising a magnetic element (). The second jaw () is arranged opposite to the first jaw () to form a gap adapted to receive the packaging material, such that the first jaw () and the second jaw () are attracted to each other upon actuation of the electromagnet () to close the gap and clamp the packaging material between the first jaw () and the second jaw ().

Sealing device and a method for heat sealing packaging material, and a filling machine

A filling device (,) for filling a container (,) with a liquid has a filling duct (,) which is connected to a storage tank. On a carrying means (,) there are arranged a deformable tube (,) which forms a throttle portion (,) in the duct (,), and a squeezing means (,) which is arranged along the tube and which is adapted to act on the sides of the tube (,) and which, when operated to close the duct, is adapted to move countercurrently to generate a subatmospheric pressure in the duct (,) downstream of the squeezing means (,). The filling device also has a meter for measuring a discharged amount of liquid. In a method of filling the container, the duct (,) opens by the squeezing means (,) being moved from a squeezing position and the amount of liquid transferred to the container (,) being measured, whereupon the squeezing means (,) is returned to the squeezing position, the squeezing means being moved countercurrently to generate a subatmospheric pressure in the duct (,) downstream of the squeezing means (,).

Filling method and filling device

A coin packaging device has a table, to which a mass of coins of identical denomination may be supplied, and a plurality of cylinders, each cylinder being arranged to receive coins one by one through an open end, thereby stacking a predetermined number of coins thus received into a pile of coins. Furthermore, the device has means for distributing the coins across the table. The table is provided with a plurality of openings large enough for allowing the coins to pass therethrough. The open end of each respective cylinder is arranged to receive coins from a respective one of the openings in the table.

Device and method for coin packaging

In terms of their operational reliability, apparatuses for discharging from a magazine of flat-laid packaging container blanks of the type used for manufacturing packaging containers for liquid contents are greatly dependent upon the quality of the packaging container blanks themselves. In the event of variations in friction or abutment pressure between the packaging container blanks, there is a risk that more than one blank is discharged at a time, or alternatively that no blank is discharged at all. In order to ensure a dependable function with repeated discharge of one blank at a time and at a predetermined rate, the apparatus according to the present invention includes a pivotal lever provided with at least one suction cup. The lever displaces one packaging container blank at a time from the discharge end of a magazine past a segmented wheel which grasps the discharged blank between a rubber cladding and a counter wheel for further advancement to a conveyor.
