A fire protection element is useful for the separation of openings passing through walls or ceilings, in particular of line passages. The fire protection element has a molded part made from intumescent material with a plurality of through-openings for the passage of lines which extend in particular parallel to each other from a first side to an opposite second side of the fire protection element. In each case, the through-openings for the passage are tightly sealed relative to flue gas by a membrane.

Fire protection element

A method includes coupling a platform to a sheet metal having alternating peaks and Valleys. The platform includes a block-out component configured to conform to a valley of the sheet metal. The method further includes coupling a lead-sleeve to a mounting region of the platform. The method further includes pouring concrete around the platform and lead-sleeve, where the block-out component blocks a flow of the concrete from below the platform. The method also includes inserting a cutting tool through the lead-sleeve to remove one or more portions of the sheet metal to form a through-penetration.

Method for firestop through-penetrations

A method can produce an assembly for a line penetration. The method includes: (a) cutting a fire-protection mat forming a fire-protection module to length appropriate for the size of the line penetration, where the fire-protection mat has a flexible carrier element, on at least one end region of which a fire-protection tape of an intumescent material is fastened, (b) bending the fire-protection mat into a circular shape and joining opposite rims of the fire-protection mat to one another via a joining means, so that the fire-protection tape is disposed in a region of an axial end of the circularly shaped fire-protection mat, and (c) fastening at least one mechanical positioning element constructed separately from the fire-protection mat on the fire-protection mat and which is arranged in such a way that the assembly can be fastened, via the mechanical positioning element, on a wall or on formwork.

A fire protection collar which can be installed on a wall or ceiling, for the purpose of sealing off conduits which pass through walls or ceilings, having an intumescent fire protection insert, a cladding part which surrounds the fire protection insert, wherein the fire protection insert is arranged on the inner side thereof, and at least one fastening part which protrudes radially outward from at least one end face of the cladding part, is characterized in that the intumescent fire protection insert is designed as a molded body which yields to deformation, which entirely fills in the space encompassed by the housing, and which is a two-piece component formed from two elements.

Fire protection collar

A fire protection module is provided for wall and ceiling openings. The fire protection module includes a sheath for insertion into the wall or ceiling opening and a flange to be placed at the wall or ceiling. The assembly of the fire protection module may be performed with few steps. For example, the sheath and the flange are embodied in one piece.
