Methods and apparatus in a network node are provided. In an example, a method in a network node in a network is provided. The method comprises sending, to a network data management function, information identifying an association between a Network Data Analytics Function (NWDAF) and (i) a first network function in the network, and/or (ii) a User Equipment (UE) in the network.

Association with a network data analytics function

The invention relates to a method for a data consumer network function, NF, of a communication network to collect data from a data producer NF, the method comprising: ∘sending (), to a network repository function, NRF, in the communication network, a request for an access token for a service provided by a data collection coordination function, DCCF, in the communication network; ∘receiving (), from the NRF, at least one access token for the service provided by the DCCF; and ∘using () the at least one access token, collecting data from the data producer NF in the communication network via the DCCF service.

Method and system for data access authorization via a data collection coordination function

A method for event subscription management in a communications network performed by a Network Function producer (NFp) and a Network Function consumer (NFc). The method comprises establishing a subscription to an event from the NFc to the NFp and transmitting from the NFp to the NFc a notification including an indication to trigger the cancelation of the subscription. In some embodiments, the method may further comprise triggering at the NFc a subscription modification based on the received notification. In some embodiments, the subscription modification triggered at the NFc comprises at least one of cancelling or terminating the subscription with the NFp and removing the subscription context at the NFc. In some embodiments, the subscription modification triggered at the NFc comprises at least one of selecting a different NFp and establishing a new subscription to the different NFp.

Network function subscription management

Methods and devices of enabling paging of a wireless communication device. In an aspect, a method of a node configured to provide core network user plane functionality in a communications network is provided to enable paging of a wireless communication device being in an idle state. The method includes receiving an indication that data is to be transmitted in downlink to the wireless communication device, identifying a radio access network control plane function, and sending a downlink data notification comprising an identifier of the wireless communication device and of a core network control plane function configured to provide mobility management where the wireless communication device currently is registered, thereby enabling for the identified radio access network control plane function to forward the download data notification to the identified core network control plane function configured to provide mobility management to enable the identified core network control plane function configured to provide mobility management to page the wireless communication device.

Paging of idle state wireless communication devices

A method of operation of an OAM node in a 5G system for fulfilling a service level agreement (SLA) for a network slice. The method comprises the OAM node initializing the slice information at a first network entity (NSSF) including the initial number of users allowed for a slice and transmitting information related to KPI for the slice for QoE monitoring; receiving one or more Quality of Experience (QoE) measurements related to one or more users of the slice, using the received one or more QoE measurements to determine whether the KPI for the slice is reached in accordance with the SLA and in response to determining that the KPI for the slice is not in accordance with the SLA, triggering an action in at least one of corresponding Radio Access Network or a Core Network associated with the slice, such as resource reconfiguration or redistribution across different slices.

The invention relates to methods of providing requested network information from a first core Network Function (NF) to a second NF, and devices performing the methods. In an aspect, a method performed by a first core NF entity of providing requested network information to a second NF entity is provided. The method comprises receiving a request to obtain the network information originating from the second NF entity, determining an expiry time stipulating how long the requested network information is valid, and transmitting, towards the second NF entity, the requested network information and the expiry time.

Open network automation platform (ONAP)&#x2014;fifth generation core (5GC) interaction for analytics

Exemplary embodiments include methods performed by a cellular Internet of Things, CIoT, user equipment, UE, for transmission of data in a communication network comprising a radio access network, RAN, and a core network, CN. Embodiments include sending, to an Access and Mobility Management Function, AMF, a request to establish a small-data user-plane, SDUP, data session. Embodiments can also include receiving a response indicating that the requested SDUP data session is established. The response can include an identifier associated with a user-plane function, UPF, within the CN, that supports the established SDUP data session. The response can also include an SDUP security configuration for communication between the UE and the CN during the established SDUP data session. Small data user plane transmission for cellular internet of things (CIoT)

Handling a plurality of Presence Reporting Areas, PRAs, may currently present inconsistencies between the PRAs active in a policy controller and those PRAs active in a network node handling UE mobility, e.g. MME/SGSN. To overcome these and other drawbacks, there are provided enhanced policy controller, network node and method of handling a plurality of PRAs. This method comprises selecting, at the policy controller, a plurality of applicable PRAs; transmitting from the policy controller, and receiving at the network node, the plurality of applicable PRAs; selecting, at the network node from the plurality of applicable PRAs, a number of PRAs to be active at the network node; and transmitting from the network node, and receiving at the policy controller, at least one of: an indication on whether a UE is inside or outside a PRA, and an indication on whether a PRA is or is not accepted to be active by the network node.

Authentication of wireless device entity

A method and apparatus for providing information relating to delivery of a service from a server to a mobile device. A node in a Radio Access Network (RAN) receives from an interaction device an instruction message indicating that the mobile device is authorized to exchange service delivery information relating to delivery of the service from the server to the mobile device with the node in the RAN. The node can then exchange service delivery information with the mobile device. The interaction device need not maintain state, as it simply authorizes the mobile device to interact directly with the node in the RAN. Furthermore, signaling between the interaction device and the node in the RAN is reduced.

Example embodiments presented herein are directed towards a wireless device and a Policy Control and Charging (PCC) based node, and methods therein, for managing an operating system and/or application behavior based on an indication of a network initiated policy and/or charge change. Thus, based on an indication of such a change, an applications behavior may be modified accordingly. Examples of such modification comprise initiating or restriction a communication with the network. Examples of a network initiated policy and/or charge change comprise a start or end to a non-metered connection or a change in a QoS level.
