An apparatus for mixing a first fluid into a flow path () of a second fluid, said apparatus having a chamber (), which encloses the flow path and exhibits a first inlet () for receiving the second fluid, a second inlet () arranged downstream of the first inlet for receiving the first fluid, as well as an outlet arranged downstream of the second inlet for discharging a mixture of the first fluid and the second fluid, said flow path extending from the first inlet to the outlet and said second inlet opening into the flow path, a throttle body (), which is pivotally arranged inside the chamber for controlling the flow area of the flow path, and pivoting means () for pivoting the throttle body for said controlling of the flow area. According to the invention, the pivoting means is adapted to pivot the throttle body so that the flow area decreases with a decreasing flow rate of the second fluid and increases with an increasing flow rate of the second fluid, in order to maintain the flow velocity of the second fluid at the second inlet within a predetermined range.

The method is for converting a vertically standing up-flow tower by inserting a freely insertable pipe into the conical part of the up-flow tower the tower is converted to a down-flow tower where the tower can easily be restored to the up-flow tower and optimized with regards to a minimized stagnation volume in the tower. The upper open end of the pipe is disposed at a first distance (A) from the lower part of the conical inlet part. The first distance (A) is less than the total vertical extension (B) of the conical inlet part. The cellulose pulp establishes a self-forming stagnation zone around the pipe at a lower part of the down-flow tower.

This is a device and a method for withdrawing cellulose pulp with a pulp concentration of 8-14% from a cylindrical storage tower. The storage tower has a plane bottom and with a diameter that exceeds 3 meters. A pipe is arranged through the wall of the storage tower that is parallel to the bottom of the tower and directed towards the center of the tower. The pipe has at one of its ends an obliquely cut opening that faces upwards in the tower. The pipe is attached at its other end to an MC pump to be able to pump out cellulose pulp from the storage tower.

The present invention relates to a process and a device for the separation and purification of gas from a fiber suspension, especially residual gas after ozone delignification or pulp suspension, wherein the suspension together with the gas is introduced into a cyclone (2) or similar in which essential separation of suspension takes place, after which the essentially gas-free suspension is drawn off downwards and the gas (5) containing residual fiber and/or other impurities is drawn off upwards, the gas stream (5), before it is conducted away, being led through a liquid bath for separation of residual fibers and/or other impurities from the gas stream.

The present invention relates to a cyclone, mainly for separating liquid from gas/vapor, which is formed upon pressure reduction of spent cooking liquid in connection with pulp production.
