Device for sample processing, particularly sample conditioning as well as for the preparation and/or optionally for implementing a sequential process for an analyte from a biological sample, said device comprising a module for receiving and/or outputting at least one sample vessel or process vessel, a module for transporting a process vessel, a module for sample conditioning and a module for initiating a sequential process for an analyte. The modules are divided into at least two units that each possesses a control system, and which are connected through a first data bus.

The invention relates to an apparatus for purification, respectively processing and/or analysis of biological target molecules with a detection device for detecting at least one object, which includes at least one detection area, wherein the detection device is adapted to detect at least one height value of the detection area and is adapted to determine, from the at least one height value, a spatial position and/or orientation and/or a type and/or a presence and/or a number and/or a state of the at least one object. Further, the invention relates to a receiving device for receiving material for the processing, purification and/or analysis of biological target molecules with at least one identification element, wherein the at least one identification element defines a height profile for identifying the receiving device, wherein the height profile is provided for at least one height measurement and extends at least in sections along a line, preferably a straight line. Finally, the invention relates to a method for inventorying, position determining and/or orientation determining of objects, which are needed for the automatic processing of a material, which contains biological target molecules, on a corresponding apparatus, in which at least one height value of a detection area of the respective object is detected, and, from the height value, a spatial position and/or an orientation and/or a type and/or a presence and/or a number and/or a state of the respective object is determined on the apparatus.

The invention relates to a device for mounting pipette tips with a coupling element () that extends in an axial direction of the longitudinal axis (). The coupling element () features a free end () from which a pipette tip () is deferrable to the coupling element () in an axial direction. Furthermore, the coupling element () features a gasket (), at least one guiding element (), and a holding element (). The gasket () consists of a flexible material which comprises an exposed sealing section () in an axial direction towards the free end () of the coupling element () against which a sealing section () of the pipette tip () can press axially. The guiding element () is located on the outer side of the coupling element () and has the purpose of aligning the pipette tip. The holding element () is also located on the outer side of the coupling element () for interacting with holding agents () of the pipette tip ().

The invention relates to a device for processing, especially for filtering and removing, fluids and fluid remnants in a low-pressure chamber ( ). The device comprises a vacuum pump ( ) and a separator ( ), whereby the low-pressure chamber is connected to the separator via a first line ( ), and the low-pressure chamber is connected to the vacuum pump via a second line ( ) so that the low-pressure chamber can be evacuated while bypassing the separator. The invention also relates to a low-pressure chamber for processing fluids which is equipped with a heating plate with holes for heating areas of the interior space of the low-pressure chamber.
