Methods, apparatus and machine-readable mediums relating to traces in a wireless communication network

A Central Unit-Control Plane (CU-CP) of a radio access network (RAN) node can operate in a communication network to dynamically schedule user-plane (UP) communications. The CU-CP can be communicatively coupled to a Distributed Unit (DU) and a Central Unit-User-Plane (CU-UP) of the RAN node. The CU-CP can provide indication of one or more available UP paths to at least one network element. The at least one network element can include one or more of: a user equipment, UE; the CU-UP of the RAN node; and/or the DU of the RAN node. The CU-CP can provide indication of a scheduling strategy for data transmissions to the at least one network element.

RAN user-plane scheduling strategy steering

A method performed by a network node to change a transport path for a user plane session in a radio communications network. The path prolongs along a first part between an antenna endpoint of a network node and a Packet Processing Function (PPF) instance serving the network node and a second part between the PPF instance and a Core Network (CN) endpoint. The network node identifies available CN endpoints in a CN, available PPF instances in a Radio Access Network (RAN) and of available antenna endpoints in the RAN that are available for the user plane session and comprises a number of possible transport paths for the user plane session. When detecting a change event related to the user plane session, the network node controls whether or not to change the transport path to any of the a number of possible transport paths for the user plane session.

Network node and method therein in a radio communications network

A method performed by a method performed by a core network node for obtaining a decision of a Core Network, CN/Radio Access Network, RAN, endpoint pair for a user plane session between a RAN and a CN in a radio communications network is provided. The RAN comprises multiple RAN transport endpoints, RAN endpoints, and the CN comprises multiple CN transport endpoints, CN endpoints. The core network node obtains () identifiers of available CN endpoints in the CN, and obtains () identifiers of available RAN endpoints in the RAN. The core network node then obtains () a decision of a CN/RAN endpoint pair out of the number of possible CN/RAN endpoint pairs, based on the obtained characteristics of the respective transport path of the number of possible CN/RAN endpoint pairs. The CN/RAN endpoint pair is selected for the user plane session between the RAN and the CN in the radio communications network.

Core network node and method therein for obtaining a decision of a CN/RAN endpoint pair for user plane session in a radio communications network

The present disclosure relates to a network node, a network control node, a wireless device and corresponding methods for optimized broadcasting of system information messages in a wireless network. The disclosure proposes a method, performed in a wireless device, of assessing system information perception capability in a wireless network that is arranged to broadcast system information on at least two frequency carriers. The method comprises receiving (S) broadcasted system information on the at least two frequency carriers. The method also comprises determining (S), using the received broadcasted system information, frequency carrier identity correlated information for each of the at least two frequency carriers. The method further comprises reporting (S) receipt of the broadcasted system information on the at least two frequency carriers, wherein the report includes the frequency carrier identity correlated information.

Optimized broadcasting of system information messages

A cooling assembly and method of cooling a heat-generating electronic component on a circuit board. A heat collector collects heat from the electronic component. A heat pipe transfers the heat to a location remote from the electronic component. A heat sink is mounted to the circuit board at the distant location. The heat sink has at least one groove formed on an underside thereof. The heat sink is mounted so that is overlies the heat pipe and the heat pipe is introduced into the groove, thereby securing the heat pipe between the heat sink and the circuit board.
