A liquid treatment system () comprising a liquid enclosure () having a main axis A, at least one ultra-violet (UV) light source () with an extension along said main axis and configured to emit UV light to a liquid in the liquid enclosure (). The liquid enclosure comprises at least one liquid section () with an extension along the main axis and structured to contain the liquid. The system () comprises swirl generating members () configured to generate a swirling motion of the liquid around a swirling axis S in the at least one liquid section () wherein the swirling axis is essentially parallel to the main axis, wherein the swirling motion is such that a controlled varying distance is induced to essentially all liquid elements of the liquid in relation to said light source () such that essentially all liquid elements are moved into high UV radiation zones closest said UV transparent wall (), to achieve uniform UV radiation of the liquid.

System for treating liquids by applying ultra-violet radiation

A liquid treatment module (), configured for ultraviolet (UV)-light treatment of a liquid () flowing through a first treatment chamber () defined as a first elongated circumferential hollow cavity () between an outer surface () of a first translucent inner sleeve () and an inner surface () of a first outer sleeve (') configured to enclose said first translucent sleeve (). The inner sleeve () is arranged to protect and include a UV-light treatment lamp (). The module comprises a module inlet connection () configured to receive liquid to be treated and a module outlet connection () configured to expel liquid treated by the liquid treatment module. The module comprises: &#x2014;first liquid flow guiding members (&#x2032;) configured to guide and direct a liquid flow () from said module inlet connection () into said first treatment chamber (), &#x2014;second liquid flow guiding members (&#x2032;) configured to guide and direct a liquid flow () from said first treatment chamber () into a second treatment chamber (&#x2032;), and &#x2014;third liquid flowing guiding members (&#x2032;) configured to guide and direct a liquid recirculation flow () from said second treatment chamber (&#x2032;) back into the first treatment chamber () again.

The invention concerns a method and a device for treating liquids, such as wastewater. According to the invention the liquid is transported by help of a pump ( ) from the lower area of a tank ( ) through a vertically directed pipe ( ) up to a 180 degree bend ( ) located above the water surface and where air is sucked in through openings in the bend. The air-liquid mixture is then guided through a second pipe ( ) having its outlet ( ) close to the tank bottom ( ). In this area the flow is once more linked 180 degrees and is directed through a third pipe ( ) ending close to the water surface. Thanks to the linking through the pipe ( ), a decrease of the static head is obtained against which the pump ( ) operates.

Method and a device for treating liquids

A seal device for a submersible machine, such as a pump or a mixer, the seal device being designed as an easily replaceable unit having two mechanical face seals parted by a room for a barrier liquid in which a pump impeller is located. The impeller circulates the barrier liquid passing the liquid along the seals and through cooling channels in the driving unit of the machine.

Seal device

A pump impeller of a centrifugal or a half axial type meant to pump liquids, mainly sewage water. The pump impeller has a hub (4) provided with one or several vanes (5) the leading edges (6) of which being strongly swept backwards. The periphery (8) of the leading edge is displaced 125-195 degrees relative to its connection (7) to the hub (4).

A pump impeller of a centrifugal- or a half axial type meant to pump liquids, mainly sewage water, the pump impeller including a hub provided with one or several vanes, the leading edges of which being strongly swept backwards. The size of the sweep angle (.alpha.) varies between 40 and 55 degrees at the connection with the hub, and 60 and 75 degrees at the periphery.

A pump of a centrifugal- or a half axial type meant for pumping liquids, mainly sewage water, the pump having a pump housing and a pump impeller. The pump impeller includes a hub provided with one or several vanes, the leading edges of which being strongly swept backwards. Feeding grooves are arranged in the surrounding pump housing in a surface opposed the vanes.

The inlet part of the pump housing includes a collar which concentrically surrounds a corresponding opposite collar formed part of the pump impeller inlet, thus permitting any possible leakage flow to be in parallel with the main flow into the impeller and minimizing the disturbance in the main flow. In order to minimize the leakage flow, an O-ring is arranged in front of the opening to a slot between the parts.

The invention concerns a device for pump housings for centrifugal pumps for pumping of polluted liquids. In order to decrease the influence of radial force acting upon the impeller during operation, a partition wall (5) is arranged along a part of the turn in that part of the spiral formed pump housing that has the biggest diameter. In order to decrease the risk that pollutions will stick to the wall (5), it is split up into two parts (6) and (7) with an intermediate, longitudinal slot (10). The leading edges of said parts (6) and (7) are swept backwards into the slot (10).

The hub is conically formed, and the vanes attached thereto are given a substantially radial direction; consequently, the turning axes of the vanes are situated in the center of the vanes, substantially bisecting the center of the vane chords. The turning axes are perpendicular to the impeller shaft.

The vanes (6) of a pump housing (5) are designed with strongly back swept leading edges (7) as seen in the direction of the flow, the vanes (6) being given a bulb form in the outward direction.

Vane apparatus for clog resistant pump

An impeller for pumps, turbines, fans, etc., of the closed type, having a number of vanes arranged between cover discs. In order to reduce the secondary flows within the impeller, the secants between the suction side of the vane and the cover discs are displaced with respect to the intersections at the pressure side of the vane. This impeller is rotationally non-symmetrical.
