An aerosol provision device includes a first section for containing an aerosolizable substance from which a flow of aerosol can be generated; and a second section for containing a material. In use, a flow of aerosol generated from aerosolizable substance in the first section flows through material in the second section before being inhaled by a user. The first section and the second section are located in a side-by-side arrangement in the device.

Aerosol provision device for generating a flow of aerosol

Disclosed herein is a device for generating an inhalable medium, the device including a container for holding a liquid; a heater for volatilizing liquid held in the container; a first chamber containing a first tobacco composition; a second chamber containing a second tobacco composition; and an outlet; wherein the device is configured such that in use, an inhalable medium passes out of the outlet, the medium including volatilized liquid in the form of a vapor and/or an aerosol and one or more constituents of at least one of the tobacco compositions; and such that the relative fluid flow rate through the first and second chambers changes during use.

Generation of an inhalable medium

There is described an aerosol provision article for use in an aerosol provision system for generating an inhalable medium comprising an aerosol when a user draws on the aerosol provision system. The aerosol provision article includes a structure for transporting liquid from a liquid reservoir and heating the transported liquid to generate a flow of aerosol; and a region for receiving a substance which, in use, the flow of aerosol passes through and heats the substance before exiting the aerosol provision article, wherein the substance modifies a property of the flow of aerosol and wherein the structure is positioned so that when the structure heats the transported liquid to generate the flow of aerosol the structure also provides additional heat to the substance in the region.

Aerosol generation article

A mouthpiece for an apparatus for generating an inhalable medium is disclosed. The mouthpiece defines an aperture extending from a first opening at a first end of the mouthpiece to a second opening at an opposing end of the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece is arranged to receive in the aperture through the first opening a flavor element for imparting a flavor to a flow of at least one of a vapor and an aerosol that passes through the mouthpiece in use. The aperture has a first radial dimension towards the first opening, and a second radial dimension towards the second opening, wherein the second radial dimension is smaller than the first radial dimension.

A vapor provision system includes an inhalation sensor; an input button; control circuitry and a vaporizer for generating vapor from a vapor precursor material when provided with power from the control circuitry, wherein the control circuitry is configured to provide power for the vaporizer to generate vapor both in response to determining from signaling received from the inhalation sensor that a user is inhaling on the vapor provision system and in response to determining from signaling received from the input button that a user has activated the input button for at least a threshold amount of time.

There is described an aerosol provision article for use in an aerosol provision system for generating an inhalable medium including an aerosol when a user draws on the aerosol provision system. The aerosol provision article includes at least a first heating element and a second heating element for heating liquid from a liquid reservoir to generate a flow of aerosol; and a region for receiving a substance which, in use, the flow of aerosol passes through and heats the substance before exiting the aerosol provision article, which substance modifies a property of the flow of aerosol. The at least a first heating element and a second heating element are positioned so as to additionally heat the substance in the region.

There is described an aerosol provision article for use with an aerosol provision device for generating an inhalable medium including an aerosol. The aerosol provision article includes a first chamber for containing a first substance that is heatable to generate an aerosol; a conduit that extends through the first chamber, the conduit having an inlet through which aerosol generated from the first substance can enter the conduit and an outlet through which the aerosol can exit the conduit and a second chamber for receiving a second substance, wherein the second chamber is downstream of the outlet of the conduit. The article is arranged such that in use aerosol exiting the outlet of the conduit passes through the second substance received in the second chamber, and wherein the cross-sectional area of the conduit increases at or towards the outlet.

Aerosol provision article

A component for an aerosol-generating apparatus includes a liquid container for containing liquid, a wick arranged to draw liquid from the liquid container in use; and a heater arranged to volatilize liquid drawn from the liquid container by the wick in use to generate an aerosol in use. The heater defines a channel for receiving a material element for modifying a property of the aerosol generated in use. The component is arranged such that, in use, the material element received in the channel in use modifies a property of the aerosol generated in use thereby to generate a modified aerosol for inhalation by a user.

Component for an aerosol-generating apparatus

An aerosol generating device defines a flow path from an air inlet to an inhalable medium outlet. The device includes a container for containing a liquid; a wick for drawing liquid from the container into the flow path, and a heating element, upstream of the wick, for heating inlet air from the air inlet to generate a flow of heated air in the flow path in use. The device is arranged such that, in use, the flow of heated air generated in use passes over the wick to volatilize the liquid to generate, in use, a flow of aerosol in the flow path. The device includes a receiving portion in the flow path, downstream of the wick, for receiving an element for modifying a property of the flow of aerosol. A device including a shield element to shield the wick from a heating element is also disclosed.

A heater for use in an aerosol generating device is disclosed. The heater includes a heating element comprising a coil. The coil has at least two coiled regions and one non-coiled region. The heater includes a pair of wicks arranged to feed e-liquid to the heating element from different directions. A device for generating an inhalable medium including a heater for volatilizing liquid is also disclosed.

Aerosol provision device with first and second side-by-side sections

An aerosol generating device defines a first flow path from an air inlet to an outlet, and a second, separate flow path from the (or another) air inlet to the outlet. The device includes a container for aerosol generating material, a heating element arranged to heat the material to generate, in the first flow path, a flow of aerosol; and the (or another) heating element arranged to heat inlet air from the air inlet or the other air inlet to generate, in the second flow path, a flow of heated air. A receiving portion, in the second flow path, is arranged to receive an element for modifying a property of the flow of heated air, thereby to generate, in the second flow path, a flow of modified air. Also disclosed is an aerosol generating device and article wherein first and second flow paths extend substantially parallel to one another.

There is provided a receptacle for use with an apparatus for generating an inhalable medium, the receptacle including a chamber for containing a flavor material, whereby, in use, at least one of a vapor and an aerosol generated by the apparatus can flow through the flavor material to entrain one or more constituents from the flavor material to produce the inhalable medium. The receptacle is configured to maintain an air gap separation between an outlet end of the chamber and flavor material when it is received in the chamber, the outlet end being configured to enable the inhalable medium to flow out of the chamber.
