An arrangement for supplying a constant current to at least one LED includes a current source () with an output capacitor () connected across the terminals of the current source. An output inductor () is associated with the output capacitor () whereby the current supplied flows through the inductor (). A smoothing resistor () is preferably connected in parallel to the output inductor ().

LED current pulse limiter arrangement

A rectifier circuit matched for power factor correction. A first diode (D ), a second diode (D ), a third diode (D ) and a fourth diode (D ) are in a bridge arrangement. A first pole ( ) and a second pole ( ) of the bridge arrangement are connected to a source (U) which has at least one AC voltage component. An inductance (L ) is arranged in series with the third pole ( ) or the fourth pole ( ) of the bridge arrangement. A capacitance (C ) is connected between the first pole ( ) and the second pole ( ), and two of the four diodes (D , D , D , D ) are in the form of fast diodes.

Rectifier circuit suited to power factor correction

An electronic converter having an input circuit and an output circuit which, in addition to the converter function, carries out power-factor correction. A control circuit opens and closes an electronic switch as a function of the output voltage from the converter circuit and the voltage which is dropped across a current measurement sensor. The circuit has a logic ground LM and a power ground PM at different electrical potentials.
